Hm. Trying to get a reliable Dragonkin strat, and this happened:



Ice Tomb's attack hit, but its stun missed? Same thing happened with Azure Whelpling, so it's not a fluke.

He's not un-stunnable, because I can stun him with a Magma Rageling's trap. Must be bugged.

After: ohdam. I accidentally killed him.

This didn't work for me, but someone else reported success with it. Certainly Celestial Blessing and Life Exchange seem like a promising start.

And I confirm what Fuxie says below, that Flummox is now correctly giving credit towards Family Familiar.

However, I needed to add a Water Jet after Swarm in order to get the kill..

But most important, IT COUNTED FOR FRIENDS & FAMILY!!!

I know this is a late post but Flummox spawned in the afternoon for US servers today as well. Between Bredda and Flummox finally counting for Family Familiar I was able to get my Nightmare Treant today.

I did Flummox with an undead dot and blind team, using Unborn Valk (2,2,1), Bone Serpent (1,2,1), Spectral Spinner (1,2,2).

Does it ount for the achievement now, since i read on https://www.wow-petguide.com/index.php?m=FamilyFamiliar that it was bugged i didnt bother with it

It is fixed now. I got credit for the three humanoid pets I used.

He is still up as of this moment in the US (not sure about the EU), but will disappear in an hour and 15 mins from now

My app says Flummox is up now and the next 17h in EU.

I'm not home, so I cannot confirm in-game..

I can confirm he is up in EU, just fought him.

Now I need either Amalia, Aulier, Jarrun or Varenne to pop up to get the family familiar meta achievement.

For me Family Familiar is finished long time ago, but it's the first time I had the chance to fight him.

As usual, like for all tamers and quests, my power team (Bone Serpent, Bone Serpent, Graves) did the job.

Had no issues with him and used the UV and then 2 Zandalari's in case one could not finish the job. Hits most of the time, but on my 6 characters it failed once that I remember, and I think it is the random nature of the critical hits on both sides. The first one, he had a big hit on the Zandi to start, and did not make it to second wave, and one other time, watching my neighbor do this, the Zandi did not have any crits on their hits, and it was not enough. When he did it a 2nd time, it was fine.

Hot damn, Flummox is up again in EU.... 14 hours left..

There's one thing that baffles me however, aren't supposed to be there 3 "regular" Pet Battle World Quests and occasionally a 4th, Suramar one? Yet I can see only two regular quests today -- Ominitron and Lil'idan ones.

Uh... hrm, same in US. I wonder if it was a hidden change in 7.1.5 to have 3 total?

As in VARENNE IS ACTIVE!!!

Now I only need:
- Amalia, Aulier, Trapper Jarun or Varenne for Aqua
- Aulier, Odrogg, Trapper Jarun or Varenne for Beast
....and I will be done!!!

The display of Varenne on the map may be a bit buggy. I was interested in doing this once just for interest but it didn't show on the map. I logged my char who has done Good Suramaritan and it still didn't show. However on the 3rd or 4th return to the map there it was.
