A [pet]Lofty Libram[/pet] is slower than both but has [ability]Amplify Magic[/ability] (yes, that ability that nobody uses) + [ability]Curse of Doom[/ability] and [ability]Shadow Shock[/ability].

Some Val'kyr swapping time with mitigated Haunt damage? :/

[pet]Sister of Temptation[/pet] has Shock, Curse and stun and can be faster than that slower Eater.

For the faster Eater it has to be a flyer. Perhaps some sort of a nether ray/sporebat?
Or a [pet]Brilliant Bloodfeather[/pet] with [ability]Peck[/ability], [ability]Hawk Eye[/ability] and [ability]Drain Blood[/ability].
