Anyone have a breakdown of best battle pets by type?
Like the top ten fliers and top ten humanoid and so on?

Set Filter "Pet Family" to Include and then sort by Battle Rating, it should be a pretty good start.
Then there's Discodoggy's list for Best PVP Battle Pets at the following URL pvppetbattles[dot]com/2014/12/22/top-high-tier-list/
And that's mostly it for my inspiration sources, beyond that, you need to learn to see winning stats and abilities on a pet by yourself.
