Question about Elekk Plushie

The achieve has you carrying him against a ton of trainers; do you have to swap him in for a round or is it enough to simply have him on the team?
(I realize you have to swap him to level him but that will be done asap after crafting the little guy)

From everything I've read, do not have to swap the Elekk Plushie in for the battle to count for An Awfully Big Adventure. There's a separate achievement for getting the plushie to max level, but there's more than enough tamer battles that are completely safe for the carry pet to accomplish that along the way. Since virtually all the 2-pet strats for tamers are intended for levelling a carry pet, you'll easily level the plushie along the way.

That's right, no need for a Elekk swap... but when you upgraded & maxed it, it has 2537 Hitpoints, the magic passive and Itchin' for a Stitchin' to force a pet swap, so it is very nice to soak some damage, take stuns... it doesn't matter if it dies.
