Diablo 3 Expansion Digital Deluxe Edition includes the WoW pet the Treasure Goblin! The pre-orders began today

Just be aware as of this post, the Diablo 3 twitter and official forums are reporting that "We're currently investigating reports from players who have indicated that pre-purchasing the expansion is affecting their live licenses, including for the PTR and Beta. If you have pre-ordered the expansion and have noticed something unusual occurring on your account as a result, please let us know in this thread so I can pass this information on for further investigation."

So it's up for pre-order! WHEEE! But you may want to hold off on ordering it just now! Not whee.

Just grabbed a preorder of deluxe anyhow.

I also just bought the Digital Deluxe Edition but no pet yet

No. I did not get the pet yet either.

That is strange. I just checked my billing with my feat of strength and I got my baneling pet from the Heart of the swarm digital deluxe preorder the day i preordered it. Maybe they are doing it different this time. Ill wait to preorder until there's some confirmation.

Blizzard purchases can take time to processs sometimes. Like when I bought the enchanted fey dragon and alterac brew pup, i didnt have them ingame before the next day.

The launcher new item for RoS says:

"Players who pre purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive their in-game items with the launch of the expansion on March 25, though some items may arrive beforehand, so keep an eye out for early deliveries."

I would suspect since the Treasure Goblin us part of 5.4.2 it will be Soon™

Its a joke, it predates wow, but blizzard made it popular.

Basically when people ask when something is going to happen, the company always gives a response, which is either wrong, or misleading, such as "Soon", this makes the company seem like they own the trademark on the word.

I can guarantee that I won't see the pet until release date. Hopefully I'll see some peeps with this guy running around in Azeroth before March though.

I pre-ordered through Amazon, since I like to get the boxes rather than digital.

The pet never goes live until the expansion does. It's only in the Pet Journal now because there aren't any more major content patches until the pre-expansion patch for Warlords of Draenor, which won't be until AFTER Reaper of Souls comes out.

This is not correct. Those of us that preordered MOP digital CE got the pet and mount a month or two before MOP was released. Same thing with the Baneling pet for heart of the swarm digital CE Peorders. Compare my feat of strength dates for obtaining these pets with the actual expansion release dates to confirm.

I always like my CE boxes so I'm happy to wait it out. It's an interesting looking pet though. I'm really hoping it acts like the real thing

I'm thinking it goes live the reset directly prior to d3's xpak going live. I'm hoping it is a month or even earlier early.
