Been away for a while and just returned mid last week. I am curious is there a list compiled of the new 5.4 pets available? Specifically hoping to see names and how they are obtained, be it raid drop, named drop, gold bought, currency(other than gold) bought, wild capture, etc.
I tried searching for "5.4 pets" nothing turned up.
If not I'll muddle through and create something on my own.
Thanks

Pierre is also new in 5.4 but doesn't appear on that list, because it was added to the game files prior to 5.4 but not made available until now.

Re: 5.4 list?
Very nice, I think I'll book mark that. I like that you can define the search rather than just be a list of names.
Thanks for the info.

Re: 5.4 list?
We have a list of all the new pets for the latest patch under the News drop down menu > New Pets!
It's updated with each new release, so feel free to check that page whenever a new patch hits.

Hi Quintessence,
The pet lists on this site are very useful, however, the reason I never use them is
a) when you mouseover the pets' abilities, it doesn't display the cooldown, and
b) the damage/healing numbers for the abilities are calculated as though the pet had 374 power. I don't know how these numbers are generated on your end, but it would be much more useful to display damage/healing with power = 0 instead. Another option might be to display the pet's actual ingame damage/healing, based on its power (perhaps with a dropdown box to select breed).
Otherwise, I really like the layout for the pet lists here: especially that you don't have to click on each pet to see its moveset like wowdb or wowhead. If the movesets had complete/accurate tooltips, I wouldn't need another site.

I think these are great suggestions and I'll pass these onto Breanni for consideration!Poofah wrote: a) when you mouseover the pets' abilities, it doesn't display the cooldown, and

Re: 5.4 list?
Just as an FYI, hovering over pet abilities should now show the cooldowns if they have any. Hope this helps your battling needs!
Adding scaling/different values for the abilities will take some further work and testing, so it may take some time.

Re: 5.4 list?
That looks great with the cooldowns!
About the damage/healing values: it seems that for your multi-pet lists (ie http://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/beast/felines/ or anytime you use a filter, http://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/filter/#), the damage/healing is calculated as if the pet had 374 power, regardless of the pet's actual power.
But, when you drill down to an individual pet's battle info (ie http://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/humanoid/miscellaneous/bonkers/, the battle info tab) -- here, you can use the slider to change breed and level, and the tooltip damage/healing scales correctly with breed and with level.
I have no idea why the two kinds of lists are displaying disparate values, but the correct implementation is already there, just not ubiquitous yet. The multi-pet lists are super useful for comparing pet-to-pet, especially the ones generated with a filter--it would be great to have the correct damage/healing values there. The only additional thing I'd really like to see is an option to see baseDamage as well (ie set power to 0).

Re: 5.4 list?
As per our lead developer: This is a bit more difficult than just setting the power to 0 as some of the tooltips also include the base health and speed.
Re: 5.4 list?
Can you give examples of some problematic tooltips? Pretty much every ability that modifies base health or speed works on percents, so those tooltips would remain static regardless of what power was chosen.
Currently, the Battle Info tabs for the individual pets contain the correct numbers, based on the pets' actual power (but not the lists generated by filters). Those numbers change correctly with breed and level, using the dropdown and slider at the top respectively. If you included one more level -- level 0 -- then that would generate the correct numbers for 'base' damage. Ie your system currently scales correctly from 25 to 1, and so it should also scale correctly from 1 to 0.
The disparity between the pets' individual Battle Info tabs and the filtered lists is something else altogether -- the filtered lists are using 374 power to calculate the tooltip numbers, for every pet. I don't have a guess as to why that is.
