Hi Guys
I have been collecting pets since battle pets were introduced slowly building up my collection to Rares and 3 of them..... I have now reached a problem I have been grinding rep in Sporeggar and purchased the Sporebat with is now in my bag, however when I try to add it to my collection I get the error message "you cant add companion to your account, you cant have anymore pets ".... well I have a total of 652 including duplicates does anyone else have this problem as there are loads more I havnt collected..... Any hints Guys & Gals.

There is a limit of 650 pets you can have at one time. They have no plans currently to raise that, so likely you'll have to divest yourself of some of your duplicates.

Mumper recently Tweeted an image indicating that the total number of pets that you can have in your Pet Journal will be increased to 1000 in the future. He didn't mention when this change would occur, but it's definitely something to look forward to!

Edit: The cap of total pets will be raised to 1000 in the upcoming 5.4 patch.

1000? That's amazing news! Since I do pet leveling for people I've started collecting duplicates of my pets I use/plan to use so that I'm not trading off a personal use pet. This, along with my expanding collection and trade stock that I'm scared to bank due to the pet cage bug I've heard about, pushed me to the pet cap quickly!

Of course it happens just hours after I tell someone there is no immediate plans to raise the cap. lol

Wonderful news! I will finally be able to free up the bank slots that have been holding dupes of cagable pets!
