Rated Phase Delay

We have become aware of an issue that has prevented Arena Pass teams from being reset. To allow for time to resolve the issue and allow teams to plan accordingly, we currently intend to extend the practice phase and instead begin the rated phase of the Arena Pass on August 6. Currently, the conclusion of the rated phase is still planned for August 27.

We appreciate your understanding in the meantime, and look forward to fierce competition when the rated phase begins.

Drat. I was planning on getting stuck in to that this weekend.

So was I.

But better to know it now, than to waste time doing matches and finding they were for naught.

So the 6 beatings the team took yesterday don't count towards my 50? And ugh, c'mon wow. If you are going to delay by a week, extend the end date by a week too.

Just wondering, never did pvp, how long does a typical battle take? And how long til you find a battle?
I imagine a fight is over in a minute right? So 50 battles should be easily done all in 1 day right? Or am I missing something?

A battle takes 2-4 minutes. However the queue has taken us anywhere from almost instant to 10 minutes.

Alas now we have to do it all over again . We had the 50 matches completed in two nights.

A mod really should post this on the frontpage, incase more people thinks the rated matches have started.

This is a bit ridiculous. Not sure about prior years, but this year has been really unorganized.

#1 No exact dates were ever put on the Arena Pass Registration forum. Only thing I found were time frames. I eventually found the exact dates on the ToS that I had to dig for >.>

#2 Delaying the rated phase a week should mean pushing back the end date of the Arena Pass a week. It makes the most sense. 3 weeks of rated may sound like a long time to get in 50 games, but when you are trying to coordinate times/days with 2 other people with jobs/real life, it's not enough.

Imo, I think that anyone that paid the $20 to participate should just be awarded the pet/title for this inconvenience.

Are matches being counted yet?
