Pet Battle General
A new pet battle tournament is available on the Timeless Isle, more details coming soon!
Players are now able to trade in any 3 of the same family specific Flawless Battle-Stones for a single Marked Flawless Battle-Stone.
Viewable pet battles will now display working health bars.
Battle Pet levels are now only shown on the map if you are tracking Battle Pets.
Aquatic type's passive effect now reduces damage from damage-over-time effects by 50%, up from 25%.
Critter type's passive effect now makes critters immune to roots, stuns, and sleep effects.
Dragonkin type's passive effect now activates after an attack brings a target's to below 50% health, up from 25%.
Elemental type's passive effect now only affects negative direct effects of weather. (E.g. Sandstorm's accuracy reduction won't be applied, but the damage reduction will.)
Magic type's passive effect now caps damage taken at 35% of maximum health, up from 40%.
Battle Pets
Darkmoon Zeppelin: Several abilities have swapped positions.
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling: Several abilities have swapped positions.
Battle Pet Abilities
Accuracy now affects the entire team.
Dark Simulacrum has been replaced with a new ability, Rot. Rot deals Undead damage and temporarily turns the enemy pet's type into Undead.
Trihorn Charge now has a 1-round cooldown.
Trihorn Shield now displays the correct amount of damage reduction.

Do we know yet how they are screwing up the Darkmoon Zepplin?

Current ability setup for the Zepp:
Missile, Flyby;
Bombing Run, Thunderbolt;
Decoy, Explode

PTR ability setup for the Zepp:
Missile, Bombing Run;
Thunderbolt, Flyby;
Explode, Decoy

So they're swapping Bombing Run and Flyby, and switching Decoy and Explode's positions.

EDIT: Disregard above, misread the ability positions. Correct version here.

How do you read that? Formatting looks like it's one line per slot but the order suggests that it's ordered by level?

Slot 1 is Missile or Thunderbolt
Slot 2 is Flyby or Decoy
Slot 3 is Bombing Run or Explode

So they're swapping Bombing Run and Flyby, and switching Decoy and Explode's positions.
That would mean,

Slot 1 is Missile or Flyby
Slot 2 is Bombing Run or Explode
Slot 3 is Thunderbolt or Decoy

Correct?

Seems it will be an isle entirely for pet battlers

So, they're basically gutting the zepplin (and I assume the mechanical dragonling).

The current setup gives us a choice of comparable damage for either mechanical or elemental, a damage buff or damage block, and a delayed damage or desperation damage.

The new set up makes it so we can't actually use 2 different mechanical attacks (we have to choose one or the other), and we have no choice but to use a non-mechanical ability, plus we can either block (which was already over-nerfed) or explode/die.

Was the Zeppelin still so OP in PvP or something that they required another big nerf, or are they just being jerks?

Missile, Bombing Run;
Thunderbolt, Flyby;
Explode, Decoy

Slot 1 is Missile or Flyby
Slot 2 is Bombing Run or Explode
Slot 3 is Thunderbolt or Decoy
Those are quite different... which is accurate?

Edit:
Helps to click on links.

Both seem to be accurate. The first is listed by level (which is a little confusing), and the 2nd is the slots. So you can still take Decoy and Explode.

I see nothing about a pet drop, even in the full PTR notes. And as far as I'm aware, no world bosses drop a pet currently, either.

I can't tell you how happy I am to see this. I have a lot of extra stones now that I've been trying to give them away in guild. I got 3 Dragonkin stones yesterday alone. I only need a few Beast and Flying and I rarely see them. This will help immensely. Now if Blizz would just do something with Lesser Charms....

There's a 'Darkmoon Dire Wolf' which drops pet, mount and xmog item, similar to the Darkmoon Rabbit (which to be fair, isn't really a 'world boss' as it doesn't tag to faction.

Moonfang, a new boss on darkmoon isle dropping a mount, pet and transmog item. The pet is Moon-Moon.

Ah, yeah, I just saw in the other thread. My bad.
I didn't even register the Darkmoon Rabbit as a world boss in my mind... Not really sure why, since I guess it is :P

Yay to trading in stones! also excited for the new pet battle isle, curious to see how that'll work. A world boss dropping a pet isn't that bad, its the fact its a DMF boss that irks me... it'll only be available for 7 days a month; DM rabbit all over again. guess ill have to start saving gold on illidan server *sigh*

If they make it tap to faction and aimed for a 25 man group I'll be happy, you'll get it advertised in trade chat etc. with personal loot, that's all gravy.

Darkmoon rabbit style is less promising, I've killed him about a dozen times and never won the pet, in the end I saw the speed breed advertised for 30k and took the plunge.

So the Marked Flawless Battle-Stones are not the BoE ones, guess they don't want those all over the AH. Fair enough, seeing how some of us have quite a few stones piled up already, 3 for 1 is practically a steal, plus they know people trade them and are fine with that. Not to mention most of these new raid and special event pets are rare quality anyway.
Still, way to keep us on our toes, when you think you've collected (sorry, caught) them all or are close to, a bunch of new ones appear. Between collecting, leveling and battling, a tamer's work is never done :p

At least on my server, when the DMF is in town, you know there's going to be a killer rabbit up on the AH ... I wonder how many of those who roll on it actually want to keep it for themselves or a friend or are even interested in pets.

Gutted! Got my final pet upgraded to rare two nights ago, and have most of them in the upper 18-25 range now, the long grind continues :(

Looking forward to the island _just_ for us, curious about this new pet. Maybe xx amount of pet battles calls him out, would be interesting?

Some other fun changes, lets see if they make it to live...

Hate to see the Zepp being nerfed YET AGAIN. It pains me to see op moves like Wish on 5 rnds cd and moves like Decoy on 8.
