Couple of questions.

1. Can you find an arch pet twice?

2. Now that pets can be caged and purchased, does buying a pet or owning a pet affect whether or not you can find a pet with arch?

1. Most definitely. I have four fossilized raptor hatchlings. Can't even give them away anymore.
2. Not that I have noticed or read about. It's all RNG.

Unless I'm mistaken, you only get the arch pets once per toon as you only get "Rares" once, but of course you can still get the same rare on multiple toons.

No, you can't find a pet twice. All archeology rares are one solve only.

However, that limit is per character, so you can do archeology and get as many of any particular project as you have characters.

No. Just as with the BoA items, having the item on a character that hasn't solved that project yet does not prevent you from having that project

If you have four Fossilized Hatchlings, then you have four characters with archaeology high enough to make the pet. One character cannot make four fossilized hatchlings. Mounts and pets are considered archaeology rares projects, which can only be completed once per character.

No. Just as with the BoA items, having the item on a character that hasn't solved that project yet does not prevent you from having that project
