801 slimes pureed and no pet ... anyone have luck getting it yet? I'd even take one of those "First Kill" posts, just so I know it's in the game.

I'm a couple hundred in, no luck so far.

I had about 200-300 kills with no luck. I tried a few different strategies like allowing the big ones to grow, stuff like that. no luck.

No drops recorded on Wowhead at all, which is pretty unusual.

I'm going to be leaving this until I know someone has found one.

Agreed, watching a guildie suffering through this is enough for me.

I felt the same way as I thought I had to be nearly the first person do finish The Longest Day, only to find out it is bugged and without a reward.

Good grief. Really glad I decided to leave it last night, and only did the Pandaria dailies.

Good thing they tested this patch for so long on the PTR, right? Otherwise it would be rather embarassing for them, to have all these bugs still unfixed on live day...

Did anyone report that the Filthling wasn't dropping on PTR? Or was everyone too busy hunting the Unborn Valkyr to test it?

Thank you so much for the update! I'm going to take the rest of today off hunting. Only 1 raid pet (in 2.5 sets of runs), no valkyr, no filthling, no dino.... They're really making this set rare aren't they?!

Elite versions of quivering filth should now have a chance to drop the half empty food container. As per the 5.3 patch update notes.

18 elites killed / 560 normal (I was having terrible luck getting the elites to spawn) - no pet

So much this. lol

Same with the beta tests. People are too busy playing on the beta without actually doing any reporting of bugs/ issues then proceed to be mad at Blizzard about the bugs and issues. People need to understand that PTR and beta tests are there to check stuff out and provide feedback. If noone does that then yes, they can overlook some existing bugs until live.

A couple people posting (http://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/magic/oozes-and-slimes/filthling/) that they are now dropping this morning, I've killed over 200 little ones and not seen an elite ... /sigh .. anyone have any tricks to get them to spawn? I so want this hunt to be done. ~ K

Edit: noticed both players that posted are on EU servers, wonder if they done forgot to turn the elites on US server >_> (guessing I'm just having terrible RNG luck)

Just making sure you're farming efficiently,I should add that elites spawn when you kill enough slimes fast enough.
I was almost getting an elite every minute or two,and ended up farming 8 filthlings in under an hour for me and a friend.

Though I did notice last night (before the fix) the elites were spawning a lot faster the more people hunting. I'm killing about 10 at time though and nothing.

Edit: Hehe after this post finally saw my first elite this morning after 300 kills, no pet. /le sigh
