Found this 5.3 pet preview on wowhead

Not too many truly interesting pets. And im a bit disappointed that Tito have the same looks as the Worg pup, hopefully its just a placeholder.
The Unborn Val'kyr have some of the most interesting and unusual skill possibilities with its moveset.

From what it sounds like, you are only 'temporarilly' dead while haunting someone. Pop Curse of Doom, then haunt and switch in a new pet to finish off the victim.
And the Fiendish Imp and Netherspace Abbyssal both comes with the Nether Gate ability that forces an enemy pet into combat. A copy of Death Grip or Sweep? Though the NA should definitely appeal to all those having trouble aquiring a Minfernal.
I think Lil' Bad Wolf will be a quite popular critter killer, given its a double counter against critters. Beside the novelty of having a tiny Worgen companion. I think it would have made a better reward for the achievement, than a cloned worg pup.
Finally Gahz'rooki appears to be tied to the Darkspear Rebellion, which launches for horde in 5.3. So it will definitely be a pet you dont want to miss, given the appearently limited availability.
