So, did you make it into the list? Do you like the new ranking system, or preferred it when we were ranked on unique pets?

I came in at a respectable 220th (at time of posting!), which isn't bad as I've got serious pet battle burnout* and haven't been hardcore levelling for over a month!

* 4 Snowy Pandas & only 2 Battle Stones from the Beasts of Fable bags will do that to a man! I don't believe other panda types exist!

I didn't make it to the top 500..

But I did jump about 30 spots on my realm leader board.

I like the new system; it shows the effort people have put into their collections without over emphasizing pet leveling.

I stayed the same rank on my realm.

Yeah I popped in at 418th when I checked the other day.

I'm the same though, as I've kind of burnt out on pets. Need to get back on the horse though.

I was happy to see myself in the top 200 when I checked it out yesterday. I finally got to the top spot on my realm which is pretty sweet too. During my time on this site I've been slowly climbing that ladder to get to the second spot multiple times only to see someone new appear with a bunch of CE pets and beat me out. I put in a lot of work farming for wild rares and grinding out battle-stones in preparation for this change, and it feels like it paid off.

It's nice to see such a varied number of total pets on the leaderboards now. It used to be that the top spots were all nearly identical collections with just a few region-specific pets being the difference. I'm sure it's a little disheartening for people that have always been on top, but it seems to me that having all of those rare and/or expensive pets can still give you quite an edge. It's just that now there's actual work to be done to be able to capitalize on it.

Personally, pet battles have been a huge addition to the game for me. I used to be a somewhat hard core raider back in Wrath, following my progress and gearscore against my realm on sites that tracked such things. All during Cataclysm, after my guild fell apart, I still played, but had no real direction and struggled with finding things to do. It's nice to have something I can be competitive about again, even if it means more to me than it does to most other players.

Just barely hanging onto a spot in the top 100. I have a feeling I'll drop off in the next few days once a couple more people that haven't been on since early this month come back and update. It feels like a little bit of a surprise. I figured I'd be further down the list due to not having a number of CE pets.

Didn't see any change on my realm list, except that now I seem to have a 200 point buffer gap between me and the next guy, instead of a just a handful of pets.

Sitting at 288. Not bad. Stayed in the same Realm ranking. Once I get to my 75 25's I'll focus more on replacing uncommons with rares.

I like do like it better than just the number of pets. For those who don't want to get into TCG or CE's it makes things more equal I think.

Still third on my realm. I play too much.

There are many pets that I will NEVER be able to get. I like the new system as the work I have put into the pets I do have/can get is reflected.

When I first checked the top 500 list, I was #190... and I'm now at #1 for my home realm.

Edit: I have now dropped to #200 on the top 500 list.

No. 255 in the top 500 and 2nd on my realm. Happy with that, I just need to keep leveling my pets.

Haven't looked at the 500 list but I jumped 20 places on my realm one. It was good to see my realm top 10 get knocked about as some of them (imho) had dubious collections (forgive me but 500+ poor or common pets is meh when the next person down is at 499 but 99.9% rares).

It's a far better system - it reflects the effort in the captures and not just numbers. It'll see some people give up I'm sure but I hope it'll encourage some to try and get a little more depth going on.

I jumped 15 places on my realm leaderboard as well. It's nice that the effort I put in farming rares and leveling pets is reflected in the new ranking.

Happy to see that I am ranked 5th in my realm and 346 in the top 500 considering that I have only started collecting pets in January of this year. There are pets that I will never have (this makes me a bit sad) but overall it's good to know that my pet collecting efforts are being recognized.

I really like that it's a better system to see how much effort you've put into your collection vs the old "If you had the orginial CE pets, etc., people without those could never, ever, hope to 'beat' you."

I've felt a bit competitive about my pet collection since wowprogress started their tracking but I like the higher emphasis on quality than level with warcraftpets' pet score. I worked hard to capture all the wild rares and ground a long time for stones.

I'm also flying pretty high tonight because I got the last couple stones I needed and now all my battle pets are /finally/ upgraded to rare. (I only have some of the non-combat ones left to upgrade like the kites and balloons, though the non-combat ones I have upgraded don't show as upgraded on here yet. :s )

#157. Not too bad. There's some really scary collections out there.

#1 on my realm, and #224 overall.
Not too bad, considering I've slacked a lot since 5.2 because the Beasts killed my momentum.

#271 atm and #3 on server, although I'm hoping to keep edging up as I start to catch a few carp and continue to level pets.

I jumped up to 2nd on my realm, which is nice. Currently ranked at 235 on the top 500. I like this system, just another place to satisfy my need for useless achievement

I like how it's "top 500" instead of "top 50" so more of us can see where we are with our collections in comparison to others. I am currently at 169 (last i checked) and I was already top on my realm so that didn't change lol.
