I just saw this skin for the first time today but didn't catch it (battle had a crab i didn't have) and I thought it was an awesome skin. Has anyone else encountered the white with red glow Striders? Anyone know how common it is to find one with this skin? I havn't seen it as a map pet (first pet in battle, the one you click to start the battle).

I have not seen that, it sounds like it looks a bit like the legendary one we fight for the new quest? Can I ask where/with what pet you found it?

Winwarded Isl. Where you go to get the eggs and kill lizard men for the OCS dailies. It was a secondary to a spirebound crab.

I've see a few Mirror Striders with the white/red glow in Jade Forest. They're usually along the main river, but I found mine as a secondary near the Alliance quest hub, Pearlfin Village.
