How much would you pay for a Minfernal?

If someone could hand you, or guarantee you a Minfernal, how much would you be willing to pay? How about the possibility of a guaranteed rare version?

I recently paid 63k for the Darkmoon Rabbit and that's probably near the top end of my limit. I also know that patience will eventually pay off with the Minfernal (and I don't care about rariety - that's what stones are for!). However with the rabbit its a case off IF you can be there when he spawns, IF you can get in a raid group of your faction and IF you win the pet. Way too much RNG for me.

I'd say they'd be worth 5000 on my server it seems to be the going rate for rare pets but I wonder, I kinda wish they had actually made it so you could box the catchable ones though seems sorta weird which ones we CAN trade

I'm okay with Wild Pets being non-tradable because when I think of the alternative, I imagine pet collecting to much more annoying. Right now people complain about spawns getting wiped out by "Rare" hunters. Imagine if someone wiped out entire Minfernal or Scourged Whelpling spawns to sell on the AH.

That being said, I would like to see an "Pet unbinding stone" to make any tamed wild pet cage-able. Make them extremely low drops from pet battling, so it doesn't really flood the market and makes the pet really rare.

The problem with your 'unbinding stone' is that it might allow pet store pets to be traded, thus blizzard would lose money from the pet store. AND collector edition and achievement pets would be an issue. Having said that, I would welcome any ability to trade any pet that I have via this method, and the ability to trade with others for rare pets like the Blizzcon murlocs. I was disappointed that I had paid for 2 CE's of TBC but with the pet battle system making the netherwhelp unique, I only had one in my inventory to show for it, the other having been wasted/consumed. The same happened with most of the pet store pets, as I had bought 1 for each account at the time, and my 30$ netted me '1' pet each.

That's why I recommend it for tamed wild pets only. CEs, Blizzcon, Blizz store and promotional pets would still remain non-cagable. It also wouldn't work on any pets that are currently cagable. :D. The rarity of the stone drop will prevent flooding the market with 15 Minfernals.

It would also give those of us who already have the uber rare pets a reason to go farm more and make it even harder for other people to get one or just kill the spawns to reduce supply and drive up the price for the caged pet.

if gold is tight just take some time to create a DK on another server that seems low pop and camp the dk in the area you're seeking - log in at diff times of the day - you might be pleasantly surprised

Minferal is great for summoning and feeding a pet biscuit. It grows bigger than a gnome. :)

I've tried to like or find a use for it in pet battles, but it's really disappointing. Meteor Strike misses way more than it hits and does weak damage to mechanical pets, which is the opposite of immolate and Immolation.

I'm glad this pet is in my collection, but I wouldn't pay for it.

They tested making battle pets cagable on the PTR before MoP hit. I think they took it out because the feedback was it would lead to over farming by bots/farmers and the like, so real collectors would have to buy all their pets on the AH.

To answer the question, I wouldn't pay more than 3-4k, but I'm pretty cheap.

I have farmed this little guy and it is probably the hardest pet for myself to get. However, a recent guildie of mine did the Flightpath trick and was able to catch him. I can only hope that I will be able to do the same but if I could buy a Minfernal, I would probably pay at least 25k :)
