The Cost of a Flawless Upgrade
Since Flawless Battle Stones are tough to come by, I'm wondering if anyone has "purchased" an upgrade from someone. E.g., I want Fishy upgraded, but I don't have an Aquatic stone, so I put Fishy in a cage and give it to someone with an Aquatic stone and pay them gold to use it on my pet. If you've done this, how much did it cost/what's a reasonable price?
Re: The Cost of a Flawless Upgrade
I think it will vary depending on server, but I'd expect a fair price is about 50% of the cost of a flawless stone on your AH.
50% reflects the difficulty of the owning party selling the stone compared to listing it on the AH where the whole server looks.

Thank you, good thinking. I totally forgot that the all-type Flawless stones aren't soulbound i.e. they actually have a market price.Gromagrim wrote:I think it will vary depending on server, but I'd expect a fair price is about 50% of the cost of a flawless stone on your AH.

anyone want to trade a mechanical upgrade for my acquatic upgrade?
is that a fair upgrade? i don't even know. I know I have an aquatic stone I don't need and I have two mechanical pets that need upgrading. (three if I decide to do fluxfire feline)

Can't upgrade wild pets via trade as they can't be caged.Bonhomous wrote:(three if I decide to do fluxfire feline)

You're Right. I was thinking of my thundering hatchling which can be caged, and my mechanical squirrel. I just am tired of farming the fluxfire, so if an upgrade stone ever drops for mechanicals, i might even use it for that.Ryazan wrote:Can't upgrade wild pets via trade as they can't be caged.Bonhomous wrote:(three if I decide to do fluxfire feline)
Re: The Cost of a Flawless Upgrade
Just paid 2K for an Undead upgrade, with non-specific Flawless Battle-Stones going for 9K on my server (Magtheridon-US). I'm sure I could have gotten it for less.
Re: The Cost of a Flawless Upgrade
That is becos undead stones arent worth that much, isnt really that many undeads to upgrade, same with humanoid stones.

Pretty sure Thundering Hatchling cannot be caged.Bonhomous wrote:You're Right. I was thinking of my thundering hatchling which can be caged, and my mechanical squirrel. Re: The Cost of a Flawless Upgrade
i've purchased 5 family specific upgrades from 4 different families, for 2K a piece. flawless stones appear on the AH so rarely it's hard to gauge their value- i've seen everything from 600g to 50K.
