Tips for pet collecting!

I'm a fairly new(like, a month) WoW player. 85 (Tauren) Balance Druid and I've recently taken up the hobby of collecting/hoarding pets!

The thing is, I've gotten most/all that are vendored(aside from the ones you get from guild vendors, since I'm not exalted yet. And Darkmoon Faire ones) and ones that are quested. (Besides the Holiday ones: Childrens Week, etc.)

Anyways, to the point: I really want to start farming them, but it can be pretty time consuming, especially waiting for something that's only uncommon to drop after killing 400+ of the same animal. Any tips/tricks to help me start farming some pets? Or having patience while waiting for one to drop? xD Note: I lurk warcraftpets.com religiously.

Level 85? Are you returning after a long break?

Doesn't matter.

About half of all pets are collectable only by battling, so the most obvious thing you can do is learn to battle and work on capturing them.

Here is an excellent video guide to beginning pet battles

As for collecting cageable pets, U;d suggest completing the Raiding with Leashes achievements

and just checking your Auction House for the many, many pets that sell for almost nothing.

Oh, I completely overlooked mentioning the Pet Collecting guide just above:
