Hi All,
I've made this list of pets that were/are available with collectors editions of Blizzard games and what you might expect to pay for them on auction sites.
*** It is worth noting that as of Warlords of Draenor, the CE items have been available as a separate purchase on the blizzard store, this includes the mount and Pet that came with it. Digital deluxe items only include in game items nothing physical that would have been included in the boxed version.
It is also worth noting that every couple of months these bundles sometimes go on sale, so the price is subject to change.
WORLD OF WARCRAFT
World of Warcraft Pet(s) Choice of one of three:
Mini Diablo
Panda Cub
Zergling
Expect to pay: £200 +
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade pet:
Netherwhelp
Lurky (EU ONLY due to an issue with Netherwhelp)
Expect to pay: £200 + (Netherwhelp) - Lurky is a different matter as it was a region specific pet and it is not known 100% if it is available anymore
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Litch King Pet:
Frosty
Expect to pay: 100+
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm pet:
Lil Deathwing
Expect to pay: £80.00 +
World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Pet:
Lucky Quilen Cub
Expect to pay: £70.00 +
***World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor Pet:
Dread Hatchling
Expect to pay: £13.00
***World of Warcraft: Legion Pet:
Nibbles
Expect to pay: £13.00
***World of Wacraft: Battle for Azertoth Pet:
Tottle
Expect to pay: £13.00
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands pet:
Anima Wyrmling
Expect to pay :£69.99
It is worth noting that the Shadowlands Anima Wyrmling pet is only available in the Epic edition of the game.
It is unknown at present if this will become available in store after launch like the last 3 expansion digital deluxe items.
OTHER BLIZZARD GAME COLLECTORS EDITIONS:
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Collector's Edition pet:
Mini Thor
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Collector's Edition pet:
Baneling
Starcraft II: Legacy Of The Void Collector's Edition pet:
Zeradar
Expect to pay £52.49
It is worth noting that Blizzard seem to have removed the individual digital deluxe editions from the store, but have in their place released a 'campaign collection' which includes all three Starcraft 2 games. The pets and other associated digital deluxe goodies function in the same way as the World of Warcraft digital deluxe items. Also to obtain the pets you have to purchase the digital deluxe version of the game, not the standard one.
Diablo III Collector's Edition:
Fetish Shaman
Expect to pay :100+
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Collector's Edition pet:
Treasure Goblin
Expect to pay £30.00 +
Strangely I cannot see that there is a digital deluxe version of Diablo 3 on the Blizzard store.
I hope this proves of some help to collectors - but PLEASE remember if you do use an auction site to purchase older collector editions to check reviews of the seller 1st and that you are 100% sure the game is sold as new/unopened as you will not be able to use codes that are already registered. And these are a lot of money to potentially lose.

Re: Collectors Editions Pets
AKA the pets I put straight on the exceptions list
Re: Collectors Editions Pets
I'd pay £200 right now for a vanilla CE lol
about 4k USD nowadays.
I think bliz should make all "digital deluxe" verisons available to everyone. CE still is CE, they get the physical goodies, the digital ones? I think they should all be available.

Re: Collectors Editions Pets
With sealed Vanilla CE's valued well into the thousands of dollars, it's safe to say that the CE code itself could command at least $2,000.00 USD (potentially more) by itself, given its increasing rarity.Xandrolars wrote: ↑May 1st, 2020, 6:08 pmWORLD OF WARCRAFT

Additionally, the Vanilla CE code will grant you all three pets, and not just one as it originally did. This further justifies a higher asking price, in my opinion.

Re: Collectors Editions Pets
In my recall those pets arent tradeble (Vanilla)
Re: Collectors Editions Pets
Originally, after applying the Vanilla CE code, you'd get a mail from an NPC with a quest-starting item to pick up the one pet you wished to have on that character.
After the actual Battle Pets release with 5.04, the battle pet list for all your characters was combined (which is how I ended up with over 40 Sinister Squashlings and countless other low-end pets) so you gained all of them (as long as you had chosen one of each previously).
I don't know how it works now.
Re: Collectors Editions Pets
Where can you get vanilla CE for merely 4k? Prices I've seen lately are 8-10k.

Notice I never bought from there, so don't really know how that works.

Re: Collectors Editions Pets
I'm familiar with that site, but it doesn't list Vanilla CE for $2k. When I just looked it said "none available."
Re: Collectors Editions Pets
I highly doubt that. I paid much more than that over five years ago. For the code ONLY, not even the physical box.Xandrolars wrote: ↑May 1st, 2020, 6:08 pmWORLD OF WARCRAFT

Re: Collectors Editions Pets
When I first started playing WoW I asked my (then) spouse for the CE as a birthday gift. I think it was a year after release and he payed a little over 150 for it.
While I am glad I have the pets, it's mind boggling to me that the vanilla CE sells for so much.

Re: Collectors Editions Pets
I have unopened and sealed one Vanila CE and two BC CE. EU versions. If somebody interested, let me know.

Pavelash, please refrain from offering trades outside of our Trading Forum section(s). EU and US
Also, WarcraftPets has a "Do Not Trade" list which you will want to review. The Vanilla CE pets are part of that list, among other highly prized and costly pets. We do not permit posts attempting to trade/sell these on WarcraftPets. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7492
Keeping this thread open so long as the discussion stays on track and does not stray into trade/sale offers of CE pets.

Re: Collectors Editions Pets
I've bought Vanilla CE (just the code) in October 2021 for about 5500 UAH / 15000 RUB - that was indeed something like 200 GBP, so the information is still correct
