Shady Message

I keep getting these and the wowhead comments are very generic. It doesn't say which pets you can buy. If I have a character in the other faction, are these the same pets? Do I have to get friendly rep to open up the mission board? Is this a mission or a quest? Thanks.

SHady Message starts a short questline which enables you to buy the pets of the other faction in your capital zandalr/boralus

Indeed.. I have played less than 5 PvP battles since Pet Battles was implemented.

Using the item will give you a follower mission called "A Shady Character". Completing it gives an item"Investigation Results" and a quest to find the vendor.This pet vendor sells all pets that are exclusive to the opposite faction for the same price in pet tokens as the original faction-locked vendor. No reputation of any kind is required to buy the pets. If you have both an alliance and horde main, this vendor is therefore not very useful. But I main an alliance toon, for example, and it was easier to buy all my horde pets of Dodger (the Alliance vendor version) than run around on my horde toon buying them of various vendors. The battle pet vendor is unlocked only for the toon that got the item and completed the mission.
