An odd problem

Hi all,

On the zone maps showing available WQ none of the Pet Trainer WQ have ever shown up on mine. If I find an active PT WQ I can engage it and on completion get the rep and rewards. This make it challenge to do these quests. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have the pet battles filter selected on your map?

On the map there is a little magnifying glass in the top right. It has a filter to hide/show pet battles.

I had turned off pet battles after I collected all the wild BfA pets.

I turned it back on, no luck.

Restarted the game, no luck.

Deleted the cache and restarted it, still no luck.

Guess I'll turn in a bug report ... not expecting any luck there either.

The option I'm talking about is on the full map, not the mini map.

Open your map (press M) and look for the magnifying glass in the top right

Are you using a World Quest addon? Perhaps you filtered out pet battles.

Jodmos: The PT WQ are not appearing on either my mini map or the full size one.

Ravyn: I'm not using any World Quest addons.

Again thank you for your suggestions.

Wikdsweet, thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't help. What I doing to get around this is to check Wowheads', Active World Quests: Battle for Azeroth page.

Have you tried disabling ALL your addons? There's a chance one of them could be causing it. It doesn't necessarily have to be a WQ addon.

Hi,

Addons are not perfect!

Ex: I have always enjoyed Titan Panel ... and then weird things start to happen ... on the same account with the same 5 characters, they all have different information and setups and I have even gone as far as removing the whole folder about the login and characters (WTF folder) and forced a new one, without any Add-ons (re-installed them one at a time!) ... at least 2 of my characters come up with different information, which means it is getting it from somewhere else!

Not to mention that obvious LUA error that comes up looking at the World Map when it is trying to identify something, which has to be the Pet WQ's, or Battles.

You really have to start at the beginning, and only do one thing at a time, if you want to find what/where the issue is ... but I'm not sure that Blizzard supports ALL of these addons, and at times, I get the old feeling that hurt Everquest so much ... their folks hated the addons and did their best to kill them ... and instead killed their game!

Mehetabel and Uduwudu, Thank you for your suggestion. I turned off all my addons, deleted the cache, quit the game, and restarted my computer. Alas the problem is still there.

Again thank you everyone who has taken the time to offer suggestions.

Just an update. I've started using the addon World Quests List and the PT WQ show up in it, but still don't show up on the zone map. I'm going to consider this solved for now.

Again thanks to everyone who tried to help me out. This site has very helpful folks on it. :)
