With the randomness that is Island Expeditions, I'd like to propose a list of people who would like to group up and try to figure out how what mobs drop these pets and farm them. From what I gather, only certain ones will be available due to only 3 islands being available during a week. I'd like to figure out which islands can spawn certain mobs that drop pets, if it's a guaranteed spawn, if difficulty plays a factor, etc. etc.

At least for US servers, during the week of Aug 14-21 based off AH. The following are available: Poro, Inky, Sparkeshell Sandcrawler, and Scuttle.

So if you're interested in exploring the islands and not necessarily winning at first, leave your btag, region, faction, toon and ilvl. Happy hunting!!

I’m definitely interested in collective research and teaming up, but I had understood that the pets drop from the bags awarded at the end of the expedition, not from mobs on the islands, correct? I’m guessing that some are tied to island type and some are tied to difficulty. I would suggest people post where they got a particular pet when they get it (island type and difficulty), and you maintain a list of pets with the places they can drop.

I’m also happy to run with people during the day—Baldulf#1663.

So far, I've only gotten dubloons from the bag. I asked a guy and he said he got it from a drop for Scuttle and under Inky's wowhead comments someone had it in their bags randomly so most likely a drop also.

I had thought the mobs didn't drop loot (i.e., weren't lootable), but I've only done the tutorial and one normal run, so I can't say for sure. We will find out, I'm sure!
