Has anyone received any of these? Are they only available in heroic scenarios?

Do you get it at the end of the scenario, or does it drop during the scenario?

The rewards probably vary a bit based on difficulty.

I did 30 normal and got 1 pet (Octopod Fry). I also got some pouches with the currency in, a rep item for magni and a boe set of green armour.

My experience is that you are lucky to get anything other than azerite. Rough estimate would be less than 30% chance of something else.

Muffinus had a Forbes interview were he basically said do them and you'll probably get something as there is so much stuff available. I don't think that is true in the slightest. I'm more inclined to believe he is just hyping the system because if it's just for a bit of azerite people will stop doing them.

Maybe I expected too much but with everything that can drop I don't think it's too much to expect that you get something interesting every few expeditions (and the bag with the expedition currency aren't interesting)

They also just use a generic Island Expedition as the source (for toys/pets/mounts) when they could have been more specific to give players a better idea of what exactly they need to get them. You could be doing loads for a pet and it may turn out that the islands this week can't even give it as a reward.

You get the items at the end. You get Azerite and if lucky it will then change to show you got something else. (I get the pet a satchel of coins in one IE

Just did one on another character and got Octopod Fry (again, figures

), A rep item and satchel of doubloons.
I'm going to check with other characters in case first one gives better reward chances.

Give the drop rate on the pets, that list is crazy. Assuming duplicates drop, it would take forever to get them all.

We don’t have drop rates yet, Caesar. We know next to nothing about how to obtain them so far. They are all cageable, though, so start saving.

I managed to get Poro and the Octopode Fry so far.. But uhm.. I thought the Octopode Fry was supposed to be Pink?.. Mine shows up as purple. In the screenshots i added you can see that it's pink in the journal when not learned.. but turns purple when learned?! Can't find anyone else with it to see if they have the same issue. But it's funny nonetheless.

This means it's a color-changer, or it can come in different colors.

If you cage it and then re-learn it, does the appearance change in the Pet Journal? When you summon it out, does it always have the same color as it appears in the journal?

Seems like pink is its default color, but it can also come in purple. If you notice any other colors, please let us know!

The moment i cage it the model in the pet list goes back to pink. Re adding it to my pets makes it go back to the purple color. It's always purple when summoned and doesn't change. Trying to find more owners with one and see what colors they might have. If anyone on this forum has any other colors I'd love to know.

its does seem daunting but we will be doing this for two years so hopefully this shouldn't be that daunting

Must be a really small drop chance as I've spent hours doing Island Expeditions and not seen anything other than the occasional coin purse.

I've done about 50 normal expeditions. I've got Octopode Fry twice, the Kobold Candle toy, two rep items and a bunch of bags of dubloons(which aren't interesting enough to count as loot). I have to assume that heroic and mythic have better drop rates becaue as it is I can see this dying. Blizzard just love their RNG. What islands this week - RNG, which one you get - RNG, what is on the island - RNG, Will you get loot - RNG. It appears to me that they see collectors as easy marks.

That's it now. I'm going to put in a few hours hard work tonight and see if I can get more than a handful of Dubloons!

about 5 norm 20 heroic. 5 mythic. failed 2 mythic & 1 heroic so far i believe.

3 poros
1 octopod fry
1 inky

1 surf jelly mount

5 or so rep items
2x 700 azerite turn ins
pretty lucky tbh

I don't know if this only applies to the PVP mode or not but last night my g/f, my guildmate, and I did a couple of the PVP expeditons.

We won a round and we lost a round. My g/f got the Inky pet to drop on the match that we lost. And we lost by like six thousand points. It was pretty embarrassing. I thought it was interesting that this was a possibility though.
