Charts for Pet collecting

Has anyone created an excel spreadsheet for the pets they still need to collect?

I tried to pull stuff from the website, but there are so many and it doesn't port over well at all. All I want is the pet name and area and how collected. (I'd like to be able to filter by area and how collected)

What I've done in the past is print it out by area and then spend a day or two collecting the pets in the areas. :D

Has anyone done this already?

Thanks

Marlene

You do know if you get an account with this site and update your pets using the manage pet option this site will show you what pets you don’t have. Then click on the ones you don’t have and it will tell you how to (if possible ) can collect it

I envy you being able to start this process from the beginning. I wish I could go back. :)

I certainly relied on spreadsheets extensively to refine my collection, decide which breeds I wanted to replace, but not to collect pets in the first place.

The main problem is that so many pets appear in so many zones. Some basic types like[pet] Rabbit[/pet], [pet]Rat[/pet], [pet]Roach[/pet], [pet]Adder[/pet] appear in many zones, making it very hard to work with a spreadsheet mapping pet to zone.

Instead, I would suggest the addon Rematch. Choose Filter / Other / Current Zone, and your pet list will display the pets available for the zone you are in. Now fly from zone to zone, and fill in the list of pets you haven't captured as you go.

Similarly, the addon Pet Tracker has a Zone Tracker option as well, that will highlight pets you don't have in this zone. I'd prefer Rematch for its functionality, but this can work too.

To make collecting easier, I would strongly advise you buy a Level 25 [pet]Grumpy[/pet] or [pet]Terrible Turnip[/pet]. Grumpy has[ability] Superbark[/ability], and the Turnip has [ability]Weakening Blow[/ability]. These let you reduce a target pet to 1 health for capture while guaranteed not to kill it.

I think you mean Terrible Turnip and not Crazy Carrot for the weakening blow ability

Yes I did, of course. Thanks for the correction! I have changed my post above.

I have also found this guide, which seems very convenient for wild hunting.

It has a section for each level range, and shows the pets available in zones of that range. Hover over a pet, and you get a map of the zone, showing where in the zone to look for the pet.

Its not a chart as such but I use http://simplearmory.com/#/ which lists all the pets and splits them into groups based on where they are from. Shows you which you have and which you need in a easy to read way.

Using the in-game pet journal, you can just type in the name of the zone to get a list of the pets in that zone. You can also set it to show only uncollected pets, as well.

Wow! Thank your for the response! I'm going to try a few of these addons. Back when I played before I mainly used roleplaying addons.

Thank you so much!
