There is no Blizzcon WOW pet this year, only those ugly mounts?

I got into pet collecting after last Blizcon so I was slightly sad that there dont look to be any promo pets for wow this year. It would have been my first blizcon tocket purchase.

Mind you on the bright side that has Saved me £24. :D

I thought the mounts were rather novel. Too big, and I wouldn't use them, but yeah surprised there wasn't a battle pet.

Go figure.

Would be interesting to get an idea of the extra numbers they sell per give away. Were numbers down as no pet or up because of mount? Would they sell loads more if they gave a mount, pet and toy compared to nothing?

My guess would be sales went up because of the mounts. There's more people interested in mounts than pets overall, plus the mounts were pretty eyecatching with the new models and being 2 seaters on top of that.
