Cat carrier (Black Tabby Cat)

Hello people, can anyone tell me which is the best place to farm for black tabby, i am farming it south of Hillsbrand killing gnolls but i count more than 1500 attempts and still nothing. Also i dont know if the chance is the same from all NPCs in Hillsbrand for the pet to be dropped or some have higher than others.

Wowhead is probably best place to look to answer questions like this. Their info not always totally accurate or up to date but at least gives some numbers. Syndicate Spy shows as having best drop rate, 0.09% chance, or 1 in 1,100 kills. Next best, Stormpike Engineer, has less than half that chance of success and it gets worse from there.
Remember everything is law of averages, pretty much all the forum comments on pets like this include the annoying people who happily report they got their kitty on the 4th or 5th try. Also folks grumbling they're into it for more than 5,000 kills with no luck.
