40 AK is the new cap

Perhaps that's a common thought but I wonder if there still is another cap planned for later months, so alts that would have already learned from an old compendium would look unsatisfied. Unless they introduce something working like a 60-90 heirloom scabbard.

Once you have one at AK40, you will be able to buy a book for AK40 on any alt that is AK26+

I lost track of them ... count not figure out what to do with the Sentinax thing, and I have no quests related to it ... so I'm kinda lost, and the only thing I can do is do some more bosses, and then just sit back ... at 882 Gear level, there is not a whole lot I can get, I don't think.

There's also a [url=http://www.wowhead.com/empowered-artifact-traits-in-patch-7-2]quest[/url] that "empowers" your weapons, which unlocks more weapon traits (allows for a higher weapon level). I wouldn't vendor those AP tokens if you haven't learned the new weapon traits yet!

When you empower your weapon, there is no "middle button" at 20 anymore.

The only "middle button" becomes the 52 point trait, Concordance of the Legionfall. See the image below, the traits in the red box are the new, empowered traits. DKs and Monks need to fill all of those out to collect their class pets.

The quest(s) to empower your weapon do not occur on the Broken Shore.

If your Shaman is your main, after completing the quest ([url=http://www.wowhead.com/quest=47067/seeking-lost-knowledge]Seeking Lost Knowldge[/url]) to increase your Artifact Knowledge beyond 25, you're sent to Dalaran to speak with Khadgar and pick which weapon you'd like to empower first.

If your Shaman is not your main and you used an AK Tome to increase your AK level, you'll skip the quest noted above, and can head straight into the weapon empowered quest chain.

Hi,

All 3 weapons on my Shammie have 20 on the middle piece and on the top left, there is a number 54 ... even though the total used amount, is way past 40. I did get that one quest to empower, but I think it was mostly on other characters as I was already past the 50 on the Shammie by the time they made that change.

It probably accounts for my healing in raids ... it's off the charts!!!!!!!!!!

I'll probably know about this a bit differently when I bring my Horde Shammie all the way up. GuruGuru is Alliance ... !

Empowering your artifact refunds all the AP beyond the 1st point in the original end trait (the one you put 20 in) so that you can put that AP towards the new traits (the little extra wheel and the extra ranks off all the original minor traits). The original end trait becomes a single rank trait, and once you've accumulated enough AP to have 51 points, you can start getting ranks in the new open-ended trait, Concordance of the Legionfall (which appears in the middle of the new trait wheel after you've taken all those traits... though you can't put points in it till you've maxed everything).
