It comes naturally if you do your Nightfallen quests, which are pretty much mandatory at 110 anyway.

8k/12k is only for the dungeon unlocks. I'm able to see Aulier on an alt who is a 6k/12k so probably just needed Vineyards questline which is just honored as I stated before.

I had Aulier up at honored rep with not much of the story done. Not sure what the cutoff is though. Aulier has been up at least once before as I had that one marked off for my Aquatics already.

Good to know that Suramar WQs can also refresh at different times.

I suppose this is how they keep us subscribing. Pretty insidious!

Thankfully the past few days has generally offered up a new one every day, so I've been able to chip away at it. Currently at 25 / 30.

I'm maxed out at 1000/1000 pets and with a number of pets currently sitting unlearned, so it's becoming a bit vital to finish the last 5 off.

i just checked the app. Another new to me quest is up. I'll have the pocket pet portal tonight.

I guess whining here did the trick.

I accelerated getting honored on the Nightfallen to maybe get Aulier or Flumox. Going to do the Blood & Wine story later today. I'm still needing a ton I wish they'd put up more! The in game decider of what quests go live could just see that hmmm you've done all the pet quests perhaps we should add more!

ding on the broken isles achieve, I now have a 1500 limit pet journal.

But I have a real problem. I'm exalted at the Nightfallen from weeks and I never never saw Flummax and Durian Strongfruit. Aulier and Varenne poped just one time.

That's why they list that you only have to get 12 out of 15 of the possible trainers to complete the achievement. On US servers, I've seen Flummox and Durian once each, but Flummox was bugged for Family Familiar anyways and is only doable for a select number of families anyways. I'd really like Durian to pop up again though as I'm 11/12 with all the non-completed meta achievements and he's the only non-rep gated trainer left for me.

Got this completed today (came as a surprise as I assumed you needed all of them not just 30 - story of my wow experience, rarely read things properly! )

Was going to refuse to use it in protest against Blizzard not increasing limit as a mater of course (or setting it to the default limit driven by the number of each pet you can collect) but decided against it.

Ironically I have already had to drastically reduce my duplicates anyway as I was at the 1000 limit at the start of WoD and am currently only adding new pets so should be a while before I hit the new limit.

I just wanted to warn/advise people that pet quests don't only happen at reset, I just got "Chopped" appearing on my map (you need honored with nightfallen I believe) and it was not expected. Anyone in US who needs it and has the rep go get family familiar!

*edit* bummer although I can see Varenne, on my new 110 (the one I use for family familiar) he can't start the pet battle...looks like you have to work your way through the vineyards quest chain first.

Quests are set to spawn at certain times of the day, but the additional afternoon pet quest seems to be a new thing, at least it's only shown up the last 2 or 3 days.

I usually check the zones for quests when I first log in for the day, then after 8 PM PST. I also check the location of the shorter duration PvP WQs every 5 hrs or so during my normal playing times.

It's the Suramar pet quests. They don't seem to be on the same timer as the ones in the other zones, which do all spawn in the morning and are up for 24 hours.

Progress is slow.

Slowly getting started on Family Familiar as well, but that's going to be a long haul to clear up!

Tyvm for this information. I had noticed a fourth pet daily right before I went to take a nap. Scared the dickens out of me because it only had a little bit of time left and it was one I needed for the pet portal (but I did make it in time!). I hadn't seen it earlier 'cause after I found three pet dailies, I didn't bother looking for more! I'll keep a better watch on Suramar in the future. I don't need another heart attack.
