I was wondering if anyone has had a rare drop off the Cluck quest? I have run this quest like 30 times and never had a rare drop. Is this even possible?

It's not possible to get a rare from the quest, you have to manually upgrade it.

I'm wondering if anybody got a breed other than P/B.
PetTracker lits the pet with 4 different breeds.
Which is hard to believe considering it comes from a non-repeatable quest.
Just curious.

Have you tried to check the stats by values without the addon's suggestions?

Sometimes addons can't fetch the breed on the few first levels, that is how their filter works with the low numbers.

If you keep using BPBID aswell, do a mouseover in the pet journal or during the battle -- it should tell you that it can't determine breed yet, still giving you several propositions.

With pets being account wide, no problem getting 3 in your Pet Journal if you have a few alts. Well, no problem except for having to /CLUCK a whole lot of times.

Also you can try this tip from the Westfall Chicken comments

... it's possible to pick up all three of your allowed chickens with a single act of idiocy!

Did this with my 37 Undead rogue; bought three of the special feed from William Saldean in Brill, found the ONE chicken in the graveyard, macro-chicken'd it for about 10 minutes, and repeatedly accepted/completed the quest until I ran out of feed. Grabbed all three eggs from the ground and voila! Westfall Chicken

Comment is from a year and a half ago, no idea if this still works.
