Sky Fry quality: bug or intended?

I looked over the Blizzard pet forums and did a quick search here, but am not seeing any information pertaining to the quality of the [pet]Sky Fry[/pet] once you release it from its cage and it's put into your pet journal.

Is the uncommon quality of the Sky Fry here to stay? Or will Blizzard eventually fix it?

I hate trading an uncommon pet for a rare pet. Yes, I know upgrade stones are easier to come by but I do trade a lot of these and run out of stones quickly.

I was wondering the same thing, actually - but I don't have an answer for you. Might be worth putting a ticket in to talk with a GM about though.

Theres many other pets that is green quality when learned, like the thundering jade serpent hatchling. Gives an use for all those rare quality upgrade stones.

It does seem odd though, when it's a pet that is pretty difficult to get already. It's not like the Sky Fry was so trivial to get that they had to add an extra level of challenge to it. After all, bone wasp isn't green.

My guess is it was an oversight, just as it was an oversight when they forgot to put the pet in the game in the first place. :p
