Supposedly you can use the lvl 25 battle pet stone to boost a non-combat pet.

The 1 level stones also work on non-combat pets.

Yes.

No. The level of non combat pets is not returned by the API, which means warcraftpets.com cannot know the level of your non combat pets.

O_O That's... really awesome. Now I know what to do with all those stones coming from the traveler's bag!

That would be awesome if we can get credit for non combat pets at level 25. I didn't know stones would work totally awesome thanks.

I did that with my non combat pets, I got them rareified only to find out it didn't matter any. So that was a waste lol.

It does matter! It's not a waste for those who simply want all their pets rare. Because it's pleasing to the eye. :)

I'm really motivated to "level" my kites and stuff to 25... really gives me something novel to work on.

Well, no surprise, Sky Lantern cannot be leveled (of course). :( Everything else seems to be fair game though - not sure on K'ute or the upcoming spring bouquet pet since I don't have them yet. But so far I've "leveled" my 2 inscription kites and Argent Squire successfully.

My K'ute is level 25 now.

I am so excited for this.
Unreasonably excited.

Nice, I guess I know what I'll be doing once I get around to leveling alts, since I'll have leveled all the pets by that point anyway.

Thanks for pointing this out. 8)

I did it to a Darkmoon Balloon (because it was rare) but was a bit disappointed to discover it isn't represented here on the website--no levels at all being assigned to non-combat pets and all that. Oh well.

I have absolutely no intention of using the Ultimate stones on pets that I can level myself, to me that is a waste.

Although spending way too much time, and money, on the horribly addictive Warcraft ripoff of Pokémon, somehow cannot get excited about raising balloons and such to rare 25s. If it makes them stronger that makes sense, but purely cosmetic ? Saving my stones for next round of pets Blizz throws at us.

I sincerely doubt they thought people would want to rare stone and level their non combat pets (if they did surely the Sky Lantern would get fixed!) So it really is just for fun and if it's not your cup of tea, then absolutely, don't do it and save your stones for something useful. But I guess some of us really don't have anything better to do with stones (hence the thread title I guess?)

The Sky Lantern is now a greater source of annoyance that it is the only pet that is green and lvl 1 ........... why blizzard why haven't you fixed it
