Does anyone know how to get the Grave Golem. All MMO Champ says is its from a heroes of the storm promotion but what promo?

I don't think they've announced it yet. We should hear more about it in the future.

My guess is HotS Alpha/Beta Access = Golem pet in WoW..

If it means, I have to shell out €39,95 for the promotion pack, I'll be extremely angry..

Winning a HOTS battle when it releases net's the pet to your wow account with a feat of strength.

If it is just winning once its released that wont be so bad at all.

I cannot even complete the 4th tutorial of DotA2. HotS is so similar to DotA2, that I have played ONE tutorial and uninstalled it. Sounds like I have to reinstall it at some point..

I personally find HotS to be pretty fun! I have only played in "practice" mode so far though, even though I have had access for several months.

This appears to be what Graves will be looking like, the Skull golem from the haunted mines in HotS.

here is my plan (assuming the way to get the pet is get 1 win at release time)
1) get and install Heroes of the Storm
2) play for like 8 hours straight till I find someone worse than I am at PVP and get my 1 win
3) make sure pet has made it to WOW
4) uninstall HOTS and hope they never use it again for adding pets to WOW.

I am not an expert in HoS but I am in the beta. I'm not really a fan of PvP in WoW and wouldn't consider myself to be very good at it either. On my main I typically just pretend its a raid and heal as best I can. If the other team leave me alone that usually ends up working pretty well but if they try to kill me I end up dying quickly =).

HoS doesn't feel the same. It's 3v3 so it's on the size a medium pvp team but there is also a bunch of PvE style elements thrown in. NPCs from each side that help attack. Walls that need to be destroyed. Neural NPCs that can be defeated that will then help your side. The different characters have different styles and difficulty levels with characters that need more careful control or properly executed combos being marked as more difficult. Probably the biggest thing that I'm still getting used to is your character levels as you play each game and you have to select your "talents" as you level up. They have a pretty good system with hot keys to do that but I still have to stop and think about it rather than just knowing the hotkeys and which I want.

Sooo. For a nooby who has shown no interest in this game so far, what exactly is it? I saw the ads on the Blizzard launcher and just assumed it was something to do with Hearthstone. Is it a completely different game? Free to play?

Yes, it is a PVP game that uses all of Blizzards games for characters to play.

HoS is what is commonly referred to as a MOBA. DOTA 2 is probably the most popular game in the genre.

It's a 3v3 pvp battle with objectives and npcs. Think something like AV but with only 3 people on each side. Your heros typically have a lot fewer abilities than a character in WoW, think more like Diablo 3. As I said I'm not a big pvper in wow but I find HoS much more enjoyable.

Last time I logged into HotS (HoS?) it was 5v5, not 3v3. Guess I better stop running all my alts and fire it up again and see what else they've changed. Plus if there's a pet to be had, I'll have to anyway.

Although I don't think I'll last 8 hours....

I could be wrong. I haven't played it really since I got the invite and never played it much then. Either way 3v3 or 5v5 is much smaller groups than AV =).

Are you absolutely sure? As I have understood, HotS is a DotA/LoL clone, both of which is (or atleast can be played) 1v1...

If I need to find 2 (or even worse 4) who are willing to let me play with them, while I have zero skill and desire to play the game, then it will become IMPOSSIBLE to get the pet..

Unless............ We create a WCP team, for this sole purpose...

2 sets of 3 WCP members willing to map out wins for everyone to acquire the pet

Dota 2 is played 5v5. There is a mid-only mode, but I'm pretty sure it's a practice only mode (doesn't count for anything).
