Winter officially begins 12/21 so expect to see the Owl tonight. From reading up on previous posts it helps to kill the other pets and non-battle pet critters in the area.

My mid-sized PVE server where Horde is a big minority get's CRZ'd with Area52 and several other huge servers. Finally I made a macro "/tar snowy owl" and started picking random Shat daily groups. Found one in about 20min of doing that after flying around the zone for 2 hours with at least 100 other people.

It's a poor S/B, but I'll stone him up.

I will just wait a week or so for the big rush to go past and then should have more than enough spawns all over the place, just like how it went with the qiraji guardling.

Finally got mine today, took a couple hours of just searching for it. I am on a smaller server so I had to kill quite a few pets to bring in fresh numbers. It's out there so don't lose heart as I almost did. Now I have my new owl rare-stoned and 25 and I love her already!

I still need to collect one, but I am unable to spent the time required until (maybe) Sunday. I tried quite a few hours last year with no luck. But I did succeed in finding an Unborn earlier this year, so hopefully the Snowy Owl will appear to me. and I just figured out which non-90 or more ladies to use.

The bad thing about the Owl showing up now is that I simply have too many Holiday obligations to finish first.

When does the Snowy Owl go into hibernation?

i looked for about an hour in the middle of the night.....was surprised to see that many people in the zone

The Snowy Owl stops spawning once winter ends and spring begins (in the Northern Hemisphere), which should be March 20, 2015.
