Ominous Seed Drop Rate?

Seems like the Ominous Seed just doesn't like me. Anyone have any insight as to what is going on with that drop rate? I've been farming almost religiously every day on 5 toons for something like 6 months and I've seen 1 drop in all that time. What gives?

From what ive heard, it has to be food herbs, not proffession herbs.
Like you use Mogu Pumpkins for cooking, and not Snakeroots for ore.

I think it's just rare. I think I had 2 of them over the entire MoP expansion, and I have 10 level 90 characters, all of whom have the farm maxed.
