Seems the poor Feline Familiar has lost her flying broom! If you get on a flying mount she now "swims" through the air behind you instead of summoning a tiny broom to ride on.

I know it's a minor quibble but it was one of the details I liked about this pet.

Yep, I noticed that too. People in game were saying it's a bug, so hopefully not an intentional change.
