I saw the new arena tourney, but did not see any info on whether or not this was the pet event...anyone know?

The event that awards Murkimus is the Arena Pass, and they mentioned recently they are not holding it this year (I believe it was on Twitter but I am not positive, but it was a blue post). Hopefully next year it will return. I know at one point a newer version of the pet was datamined (possibly new name also) so maybe we will see him next year.

The Arena Tournament posted everywhere currently is an unrelated event.

Thanks for clarifying! The webpage that's supposed to explain the 2014 NA Arena Tournament is...not so informative.
