OUCH! Wow that must've hurt.

I've accidentally bought the wrong item before but don't think I've ever accidentally sold something for the wrong price. Anything that's worth more than a few gold I make sure to double check before I click "Create Auction." I also fill in the buyout price first, then the bidding price, so that if I screw up and miss a zero on the buyout price, it'll automatically tell me that the buyout must be more than bidding.

Ouch. Never done that but I did recently list something with a much lower starting bid than I intended to. Unfortunately, someone had already bid on it before I noticed that and it cost me 1k to cancel the auction but that was better than letting it sell for 20k less than I wanted. I have bought a few seeming pricing mistakes like that.

I don't really have accidents in this way but I do have a tendency to buy things at the market price or just below that are about to get cheap really, really quick. Like the recipe for Savory Deviate Delight. It was ubber expensive until Cata hit and then it became a super common drop. It went from like 5k to 20g in a week or so. Unfortunately, I bought it when it was still 5k. *sigh*

Yeah, me too. Someone on my server keeps buying up the rare battle pets and double the price on them so DMR went from 63k-ish to 120k-ish overnight on my server. *more sighs*

got my spectral tiger cub a few weeks or months before they became really common. payed 500k, now they are at 50k. *sigh*

however when i find an item that is way too cheap and feel generous, i normally mail a some gold to the seller. not the full amount at which it is normally found, but at least something. i feel this is only fair and being friendly is generally more useful than beeing greedy. i also occasionally buyout items like these that i don't need, and then mail them back to the seller with a CoD of what i paid, so that they can put them back up at a proper price.

Never really sold something for too little, but have purchased something for too much or less than it was worth.
ie:
Ethereal Soul Trader 195000g

Durotar Scorpion 65g
Ammen Vale Lashling 10g
Sprite Darter Hatchling 150g
Feline Familiar 50g
DMF Rabbit 5000g

Happens all the time, people get ripped or people get bargains. Maybe selling the DMF Rabbit for 39g will give you good karma :D .

Yesterday I bought a Pandaren Earth Spirit off the AH for 4g. No idea why it was listed that low but I wasn't going to pause and ask questions. I had one already so I snatched it with the intention of flipping it. But then my husband said "Oh! I don't have one of those yet!" So... yeah... I gave it to my husband.

The Pandaren Spirits have been very cheap on my server. I have several I wanted to sell, but they go for so little it wasn't even worth it. So for now I'm sitting on them.

It seems like, for my server anyways, the pet market is totally jacked up right now.

Every day I check the AH hoping for deals on a few specific pets. Today was probably the best deal I've ever run into: an uncommon S/S Gilnaen Raven for 1100g. Woot!

Oh, [profile]Cec[/profile]! I feel your pain. I bought some Blue Carp a while back to resell and accidentally posted one before I learned it. Ergo, Auctioneer posted it for 1c, rather than the 5k that I expected. It sold quickly

Though your oops puts me to shame!

(Unless you are on Illidan. In which case, 39g is probably the market price. 8-) )
