So I just picked up one of these pets but I have never really seen them around. Are they rare if so how rare or how potentially valueable are they?

I don't think they are rare just a pain. They come from bags you buy with the marks you get from Firelands dailies. Apparently the drop rate is low & it's old now so who knows how many still do them.

Cool I quit early in Cataclysm so I didnt experience most of that expansion so I wasnt sure about this guy. He's pretty cool looking at least

He's also one of the more powerful elementals with conflag available. Rag is the strongest, but not everyone has him. Definitely stronger than the Fel Flame.

Cool I just traded him for a droplet of Y'shaarj hopefully that was a good deal. I have rag and the fel flame and the the guy from mc with that same move set so I figured id get the droplet so I didnt have to farm for him.

It used to come from the midsummer holiday event boss (Ahune), and now they come from the Molten Front daily bags (30 tokens for 1 bag). They are in fact rare. They go for 5-8k on my server, sometimes a little more, and pets go for cheap on Bleeding Hollow. You rarely see more than 1 up on the AH.

This little bugger INFURIATES me. So, so, so, so bored of those bloody dailies.
