[Guide] Interactive Pets [Last Update: December 2017]

October 2019 Update: I will no longer be playing WoW or Blizzard games for the foreseeable future, if someone wishes to take over this guide, they're more than welcome to.
Liberate Hong Kong. Revolution for our age!
Only after I started working on this did I realize this site had interactions on each of the pet pages. Nonetheless, I still think it might be helpful for anyone who might want to see what critter can do what at a quick glance and maybe discover something new that might not have bothered to look for otherwise. Plus, I just like having the condensed list... much easier for my scatter brain. :D

Thanks, Quintessence for the move to the Pet Guides section. <3 And thank you to everyone in the replies suggesting more for the list.

Enjoy!!

[pet]Onyxian Whelpling[/pet] has an emote "Onyxian Whelpling takes in a deep breath…", followed by, well, a deep breath of fire.
Was lucky enough to see one at the Darkmoon Faire
According to WPets there are also rings of smoke.

First off, LOVE this guide! Second: I don't know if it's worth adding, but there is a toy in Pandaria (requires cloud serpent rep) that lets your flying pets play with a "smoke ring". From what I understand, not all pets in the flying family can use it, though. No chickens, for example.

Aww, thank you, all. I'm not feeling too good at the moment, but I'll add those when I'm better. <3

I guess that's flying as of hovering or flying alongside a mount. I don't have that toy yet (thanks for reminding), but it'd be priceless to see a [pet]Fragment of Anger[/pet] engaging in a such unserious activity.

Okay, based on feedback, I've added some more pets and created a toy interaction section. I've also made some general updates, which I hope don't make it seem too cluttered. Enjoy! Hopefully I got all the errors out of the bbcode as well. :D

A technical note: You can link to items without pasting full links to Wowhead!

Code: Select all

[item=8499]Tiny Crimson Whelpling[/item]
Result: Tiny Crimson Whelpling

The number provided is the ID that you can find in the very Wowhead link.

Same with spells, quests, achievements and so on (where a button ends with "=").

Have fun! :)

Oooh, nice to know. Thanks!

To anyone using this guide: I'm using the pet id's for this site, should I include the Wowhead pet links as well? Obviously, I'd do some editing to try and avoid it looking too cluttered.

The green gnome is [pet]Father Winter's Helper[/pet], without a "little" that time. ;)

[pet]Blightbreath[/pet] can appear in either Rotface's or Festergut's appearance when summoned. And vomits from time to time. Ugh!
[pet]Boneshard[/pet] occasionally mimicks the Marrowgar's spinning and yells a high-pitched "BONE STORM!"

[pet]Dreadmaw[/pet] can burrow for a while and resurface.
[pet]Drudge Ghoul[/pet] defiles area around itself.
[[pet]G0-R41-0N Ultratonk[/pet] doesn't seem to show any specific behaviour, but has a bugged [ability]Lock-On[/ability] animation. :P]
[pet]Magma Rageling[/pet] summons a firestorm from time to time.
[pet]Mischief[/pet] is another kitty that jumps on your lap when you /sit.
[pet]Runeforged Servitor[/pet] stretches and cracks knuckles. Occasion ally channels a non-damaging chain lightning.
[pet]Sanctum Cub[/pet] jumps on your lap when you /sit aswell.
[pet]Snaplasher[/pet] partially plants itself into the ground like this (an ugly hotlink, bad me :P).
[pet]Snobold Runt[/pet] throws a snowball at you.
[pet]Stardust[/pet] -- see this Cymre's video. :3
[pet]Winter Rageling[/pet] summons a froststorm from time to time.
[pet]Winter Reindeer[/pet] dons a harness and holiday saddle during Winter Veil.

Also, the falcosaurs. ;) Erk?

Okay, folks. Hit me with any new interactions not in the previous replies. I'll try to update in a few days Maybe even revamp the list organization a bit if anyone has any suggestions.

Apologies for taking so long, I burned out on WoW and went on hiatus.

Marsuuls also sit in your character's lap if you emote /sit at them. When just idling they dance and sleep every once in a while as well, like some cats. Marsuuls confirmed cats?!

From time to time, Mini Diablo will summon a column flame. Is pretty cool.
Thanks for the post. I was on Hiatus from WoW for a while as well, but got sucked back into it. Amazing how many pets were added over a few years. I have a lot of catching up to do!
