Re: Cavern Moccasin Multiple Colors
UPDATE! Got no pets from WC this week, but [profile]Paladance[/profile] was kind enough to provide a S/B color-changing [pet]Cavern Moccasin[/pet] FOR SCIENCE! Meet these two babies, adequalely named Clearscale and Shifter . http://i.imgur.com/JiIzfVw.png Clearscale is always white, she was born th...

Re: Cavern Moccasin Multiple Colors
However, these two pets are slightly buggy. I'm not 100% sure of this, but after testing on a few Moccasins and Venomfangs I've found that if a rarity battlestone is used on them, they lose their color-changing ability. Upgrading them to rare makes them stop changing for some reason, and they'll on...

Re: Always first?
Of the rabbits the one I use most often is the S/B [pet]Elfin Rabbit[/pet], it's fast enough for most things but has a bit more power and health. If you need a S/S rabbit you've probably got half a dozen alternatives. The next most used rabbit is the H/P [pet]Arctic Hare[/pet] as it has the highest...

Re: Some Thoughts on Pets' Future
There's hardly anything prophetic here, it's already happening. If you think about it, the "play more" paradigm already applies - Look at Order Hall pets (DK in particular), or achievements like Poor Unfortunate Souls or Family Familiar. Those do require some commitment and time investment, certainl...

Re: Most Versatile Pet
That is a shout out to my beloved [pet]Rapana Whelk[/pet], the most underated lil guys out there. He won't razzle dazzle anyone in fights but he's your clean-up hitter than just gets out there and gets the job done when everyone else has failed. I was reading one of my past comments on my beloved R...

Re: Cavern Moccasin and Young Venomfang breeds
 [pet]Young Venomfang[/pet], in a way, reminds me of [pet]Nether Ray Fry[/pet], as in, having a wide variety of damage types -notably including the fairly rare Undead type- but nothing really remarkable besides that - fragile, and without any "big" moves. Its only truly "unique" move is [abil...

Re: Search for counter
While not a counter per say, I find it fun to use cleansing abilities against [ability]Haunt[/ability] teams. In particular, the [pet]Fiendish Imp[/pet] has baited many Haunts - most people expect it to run [ability]Burn[/ability]/[ability]Immolation[/ability]/[ability]Nether Gate[/ability]; but you...

Re: Pet of the Month - Snaplasher
I find [pet]Snaplasher[/pet] extremely underwhelming in nearly every sense. In terms of versatility, it is an Elemental with a full Elemental skillset. This alone puts it in a bad spot in terms of finding a niche, as there are plenty of other candidates with similar tools - more so considering Eleme...

Re: Level 25 Pet Leveling Stone for Sale
While it's not a bad change by itself, seems to me that it's not too well-thought. The price of this stone is lower than that of regular leveling stones (even if you were to buy random ones, that cost 2) and being available on demand sorts of takes away from the other sources, like the one-off from ...

Re: Pet of the Month - Emerald Proto-Whelp
Things don't get much better than a P/P [pet]Emerald Proto Whelp[/pet]. Just through sheer durability and sustain, it can beat a wide number of pet encounters, as well as being one of the strongest hard-counters to Flying pets. Tanking and healing is certainly not the fastest method, but it's fairly...

Re: Mech pets rezing with less than the health they should
Same as above, my Mechs always resurrect at 20% Health - but if they die (and resurrect) in the middle of pending DoT ticks or multi-hit attacks, those will still apply AFTER the resurrection, resulting in your pet having less than 20% health on next round. As for the case you describe, I've experie...

Re: Regarding all the complaining about pets in Legion
Agreed completely peanut. Add in that one can always get AP, gear upgrades with procs even in Lfr( I got an 880 piece from it), and finally legendaries for ones main spending the time doing all these things on an alt I have zero plans to do anything on but to get these pet(s) seems like a waste . W...

Re: Revolt against new class hall pets!!
While I'm still 100% in favor of "Class pets", I believe they may have gone too far with that :P It's almost too demanding even for a "main"! I can't support this sort of design decision, as it's insanely grindy, but who knows... it may not be that bad in the end. I have some high hopes for things l...

Re: Revolt against new class hall pets!!
How is making them cagable dumbing it down? If anything it rewards those that choose to do the grind with some gold. Making it profitable to do the grind might in fact bring some new people into the pet scene. I see nothing wrong with rewarding those that do the grind with some gold and possibly en...

Re: Revolt against new class hall pets!!
I would be all for making these class-specific pets cageable in the future, when players simply want to get on with the game and no one wants to stick around in their Legion Order Hall. It's not like they are doing anything different or productive to get the class pet. So far it's just killing a mo...

Ehm... they're banked for now, all 7 of them. Maybe one day they'll become tradeable, or at least get a vendor price. It just feels wrong to type "DELETE" on the poor things!Paladance wrote:(But hey, what have you done with your forest of Broots, HMM?! )

Re: Revolt against new class hall pets!!
Can't say I'm against class pets; in fact I believe all classes should get theirs in the same way they're getting mounts - because right now it's kinda unfair that some classes are still left without anything. Many will have my head for even suggesting it, in this thread's context, but I was more th...

Re: Mudslide vs. Nether Gate
Yep if you use a move that keeps a pet unable to swap out or is used on you, your pet or your opponents pet can't swop out. So if a move like haunt is used it fails This is correct, but that's a bad example :) Rooted pets can't swap out by any means neither manually nor through abilities ([ability]...

Re: Celestial Calf
While the logic behind running [ability]Sleeping Gas[/ability] for its bonus against Magic is sound, I'd say it's not so great due to its awful damage -that is further prevented from scaling up due to cooldown- and its unrealiable CC potential, that suffers greatly from [pet]Blightbreath[/pet]'s low...
