Re: Budget Celestials
Were all your pets rare quality? In some cases (the flayer youngling comes to mind) it seems like it would be more time/effort to get a rare version of a wild pet than it would be to just get a drop. And you know what they say, time is money.

Re: Celestial Tournament Guide V. 1.0
Yeah, it is a bit of a mess right now. I'm hoping that with some more time and a rewrite or two, that I'll begin treating the trainers as one fight. Right now I'm sort of looking at each of their pets individually instead of treating them as one fight. Once I turn it into a single battle of 3 v 3 in...

Alright, I think I'm willing to have people see this now. More (and better) info to be added but this will due for a start.

Re: Looking For Teams VS Chi-Chi, Xu-Fu, Yu'la and Zao
Xuen and Chi-Chi: Pandaren Water Spirit and Chrominius. Geyser --> Whirlpool --> Swap --> Howl --> Surge of Power If you do Xuen first, you should have enough health to use the same two pets against Chi-Chi so you don't need to level a second set. Zao: Flying type faster than zao even once they're b...

Clock'em might be quite useful for Yu'la. He's faster (barely), has [ability]Dodge[/ability] to avoid the Lift off and following breath, and has humanoid attacks.

Re: Shademaster Kiryn
I used a Lesser Voidcaller to deal with Nairn. Seemed like the best choice among a fairly limited selection of non undead pets with undead attacks. I then used an S/S Amethyst Shale Hatchling for Stormoen and a Darkmoon Tonk for Summer.

Re: Shademaster Kiryn
Your elementals taking damage from the Lightning Storm is not a bug. The lightning storm adds mechanical damage to your opponent's attacks, it doesn't cause you to take extra mechanical damage. I'm not entirely sure if our elementals are getting the extra mech damage added to their attacks, although...

Re: Dusty (whispering pandaren spirit battle)
I went and got myself a P/P Wildhammer Gryphon Hatchling to deal with the Flowing Pandaren Spirit's team now that Tiptoe is aquatic instead of his old critter self. I got really tired of my Dragonbone Hatchling only hitting once with his Slicing Winds. Peck from the Hatchling is much more consistent...

Re: WASTEWALKER SHU
Yeah, I don't think the sandstorm change alters anything with the Zandalari Dino/Chrominius group. Not to be snarky, but did you read the next part of the post which detailed what happens with the Dino? The Kneebiter will die. No, I missed that explanation, which is valid. But the part about Sandst...

Re: WASTEWALKER SHU
What changed? Sandstorm. Because of the 5 round thing, when he wants to recast Sandstorm (like he would have before) it's still got a round of CD, so he doesn't recast it then. He'll wait until it comes up in his rotation again. You wouldn't think this would be a problem, except sandstorm used to p...

Re: Xu-Fu, Cub of Xuen PvP comps
I've been using a breed 5 nether faerie dragon to dodge dots/apply moonlight, my cub of xuen, and a pandaren fire elemental. I found the biggest problem I had was with mechs since they murdered xuen and the dragon didn't do much damage to them. The pandaren fire elemental has magma wave to wash away...

Re: WASTEWALKER SHU
What changed? My standard P/P Zandalari Dino, Chrominius, levelling pet has continued to work fine this week. You even get a free turn now that Sandstorm has a 5 round cd.

Got mine on the weekend. Still need to stone it and I'd like to get a S/S one too. But there are just so many breeds for that guy.

Re: Celestial tournament
I went through about 40 pets for the fights. I have around 120 or so levelled. It's really not that difficult, I had only the haziest notion of research done so I learned on the fly. I think one of the most important things for people to consider is that the 3 variable tamers aren't that hard. They'...

Re: Celestial Tournament 101
A couple of thoughts Sellys, Yu-la Gregarious Grell is awesome in this fight if you happen to have one or can pick one up. Depending on your luck he can solo Yu-la. Yeah, a gregarious grell is nice but in order to keep info useful to as many people as possible I try to avoid using pets that cost re...

Re: Celestial Tournament 101
I think it might be useful to have multiple ways of dealing with each of the celestial pets at the end, since we may or may not need some pets for the first 3 tamers that vary (although most people just seem to get by those tamers with a rock paper scissors match making system, which is fine). I did...
