Re: Anzu's Blessing
Nocturnal Strike & Anzu's Blessing share 3rd slot, to figuring in to calculations. I think it may depend on how it's applied. Like if I can use a gnome to build a turret -> swap -> bless (DH is going to be faster most of the time at that point, because flying) and have it apply that buff retroactive...

Re: Anzu's Blessing
You're right, but I don't have to like it! haha. I'm pretty sure this is going to see a nerf in duration at the minimum, but we'll see. I think a lot of this is a big question mark until beta opens up. I'm champing at the bit to see more of Garrisons & breeding. It could fix a lot of things, but it ...

Anzu's Blessing
You might want to sit down before you see this. http://tamerliopleurodon.files.wordpress.com/2014/01/anzu.jpg At least this made me a little weak in the knees. There are a lot of factors, but this seems super OP for now. This is on the CE pet Dread Hatchling. It's in the pet journal on PTR if you wa...

Re: Tournament used for levelling pets
Think people have tried, but that you only get miniscule amounts of xp for it. If you think about it, if it gave high xp you could just carry a pet in an easy fight like Wrathion, reset tournament and repeat it ad nauseam. When I was testing on PTR, carrying a pet gave ~1K for a level 22-ish, so fa...

Re: PVP help~
If you want to build a PVP team, I tend to have the best time if I pick a pet I like and kind of build a team with a bunch of synergy around it. Like if I pick Xufu with Spirit Claws, it's a good idea to pick a pet that benefits somehow from moonlight, applies dmg debuffs, etc. Another really import...

Re: More frustration.
Thinking about a lunar festival-themed one, though I can't think of a good 3rd after a lantern and a snake, heh. Well, since it's the LUNAR festival, how about Moon Moon? ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A :P I was going to go with one of the dragons with the more serpent-like appearance...

Re: More frustration.
Oh man, I had the exact same thing happen. Apparently if your client crashes in a particular way, it'll corrupt your WTF folder, and screw up your addons. Though, aside from the few I (over)use (Lio <3s kneebiter/gnome/scourged whelpling BFF <3<3) it's actually been kind of fun. I've been making up ...

Zandalari Kneebiters. He got a nerf so he's not so hot on the PVP synergy anymore, but by GOD when I get that hunting party off I can hear angels sing. Man.

Re: Can someone explain this one?
The 'always hits when X' overrides the death adder's accuracy debuff, even though it doesn't override a Darkness accuracy hit. It makes for a good counter to that damnable snake. Xufu's Spirit Claws does the same when it's Moonlight.

Re: Does anyone keep up with the Beasts of Fable dailies?
lol, if this is going to be a 'let's all link our projects~!' thread, here's mine. http://battlepetroundup.com/2014/01/22/nitun/ There's an alternate strat involving undeads as well, but my post was approaching a few thousand words. Basically, if you use undeads, he doesn't get the heal from Ravage,...

Re: Does anyone keep up with the Beasts of Fable dailies?
Funnily enough, I'm posting my Nitun strat tomorrow, heh. I have been keeping up with book 3 and occasionally book 2, because I'm out there already doing some other stuff. If I didn't, well, I have plenty of treats stockpiled for WoD (cap isn't raised, but I'm assuming we're going to have a wide arr...

Re: The thing about nerfs
The thing about pets which are widely regarded as 'OP' is that not only are they extremely powerful in PVP, but they're also really, really powerful in PVE. The reason the Murk/Kovok combo got nerfed wasn't because it was devastating in PVP (though, let's be real, it was absolutely devastating in PV...

Re: PVP Pet Battle Question
no, no, yes.
Pet dueling is just for fun and organized head to head battling events. While you will get in some practice, there's no 'point' to pet dueling. Unless you count fun as a point, psh.

Re: The essence of a staller team here?
It only kills the frontline pets? Thats a really weak spell although it could maybe be useful on some of the beasts of fable? Yep, it works pretty well on a lot of them though not the Celestials, because of that Boss buff. They just take the 35% or whatever it is and absorb the rest (see pic: http:...

Re: Lower hitchance with pets below 25
Your accuracy reduces by 2% per level relative to your opponent's level. If your lvl 19 is fighting lvl 25s its chance to hit is actually a baseline 88% but if your lvl 19 fights a lvl 23, it'll shoot up to 92%. If your lvl 19 fights lvl 19s, there is no longer a base miss % as so that 100% hit abil...

Re: Excuse me for the dumb question...
It comes from boxing. The schedule of fights in a single night is called the Card. The big draw fight is the Main Event (usually only one, but there can be multiple), and the fights before the Main Event you don't really care about are called the undercard.

Re: Call lightening
Not entirely. With Scorched Earth you also don't take the end-of-round damage as an elemental. That effect is local to the weather and unaffected by number or nature of opponent attacks or defenses. But I do think you're on to something, that the QA stuff they have to do to fix Sandstorm likely has ...

Re: Call lightening
Yep, that's roughly what I concluded during playtest, though I made a *huge* mistake. At current, Sandstorm's shield effect doesn't apply to elementals, so they take full damage during Sandstorm. I honestly knew this, for real you guys. I'm claiming egg nog. Skarn corrected me quite nicely and calle...
