Re: An awfully big adventure
This tuesday is going to be adorable, so many of us at Noon EDT are going to be rushing to the Celestial Tournament to finish and get our Trunks!! :D Tsk tsk, you didn't get your plushie the first week? Now that I think about, does Trunks just get auto learned? I finished the achievement yesterday ...

Most of those trainers are horde only, just like most of the EK ones are alliance only. So yeah, you have to make a horde toon.

Re: An Awfully Big Adventure
No it hasn't changed, but it isn't a flat 50%. You have to take into consideration the distribution of the hits. You have 5 hits each with a 50% chance to hit and each with a 50% chance to apply the debuff "if they hit". That end result chance at slowing isn't 50%. It's a distribution of a conditio...

Re: An Awfully Big Adventure
Have they changed it? My understanding wasn't that each hit could slow, it was that the slow was a separate roll on the hit chart after the 4 damaging attacks.Jerebear wrote:Sellys wrote:
It's not quite 50%, there are multiple hits, so the hit chance is different.

Re: An Awfully Big Adventure
The Gulp Froglet/Moth combo for Sully works so brilliantly for me I am totally amazed it isn't working for you - maybe I wrote the order down wrong on the page, I'll have to check. Looking at your write up of the fight, you state that getting the slow on the second pet with moth balls is important,...

Magic pets like the Viscidus Globule and Syd the Squid work well. Depending on how scripted the encounter is, whirlpool could stop the swap.

Re: An Awfully Big Adventure
I gave up trying to figure out Blingtron and Shademaster Kiryn and used your teams.
Fwiw, I find the SM Kiryn team a bit misleading. It lists sporebat and snowman in that order, but when I started with the sporebat I got clobbered, but starting with the snowman was a one-shot.

Most of the WoD pet tamers are pretty easy, then there's that crazy woman out in Gorgrond and nasty petses.

Re: Since when does Yen have takedown?
Hmm. Guess I didn't notice it the first week of 6.0. Assuming we've had him once before since 6.0. Which I think we should have. Oh well at least my S/S flyer thingy is faster than the final pet even if the flyer is under 50%.

Re: Random observations
I agree with the darkness miss chance being more than 10%. I managed to miss 3 100% hit chance attacks in a row a few nights ago and overall using my Nitemare Night team I've seen an awful lot of misses from both sides.
I'd also add the MPD to the op list though.

If you're having trouble with things healing, I'd suggest a crow. They can be found as secondary pets on the darkmoon island, and the Faire is on for another couple of days.

What about using your warbot instead of the tonk? The -50% damage taken should keep him alive long enough to do some serious damage I would think.

He was pretty easy. I don't even remember my first pet, but I followed it up with a Warbot and that was that.
Level 103 Moonfang Denmother was interesting though.

Re: Obalis/Pyth bug
With the new changes to accuracy and damage range, it's possible that you've got a strategy to kill him that is doing the exact same damage each time which just happens to leave his health at 1. It's probably not a bug. Or he might have the Survival ability, although I don't think snakes get that ty...

Anyone else playing Darkness teams right now?
I levelled my Widget a few days ago and have been playing Widget/Crow/Ghostly Skull.
I'm starting to think Darkness is debuffing hit chance by a lot more than 10%. Is there an add on that would track hit data with a weather debuff?
