The thing about nerfs
Simply put, pet nerfs are for lazy people. There is absolutely nothing worse than spending hours, or days, or sometimes even weeks to farm a pet, only to find out that it was time wasted due to a nerf. Best example I can think of is the Fluxfire Feline. Sure, it was OP, but it was a WILD pet. That m...

Re: Fun PvP team
The neat thing about sharing your favorite teams out here is that you're giving your secret to about 60,000 other hardcore battlers. After that, one of two things usually happens: other people start using your team and you find yourself in mirror matches, where you're depending on RNG; even worse, p...

Re: Your favourite PVP teams
I use Primal cry. There aren't a lot of rabbits out there right now, and at 341 speed, my raptor is faster than pretty much anything it comes up against. That means I don't need the speed boost, and the AOE is an added bonus. What usually happens is that I black claw, and then flank. If the opponent...

Re: Your favourite PVP teams
LOL, The joys of telling the world your favorite teams. I'm seeing these suggested teams more and more in PvP. Two of them especially: Tuatha's Valk/rabbit/crow team, and my own Valk/Gnome/Toenibbler team. Luckily, my current team counters the Valk/Gnome/Nibbler very well, but Tuatha's team gives me...

Re: Son of Animus
To reiterate what these guys already said, in a very clear manner... It is not worth that amount to buy it. It can indeed be a useful pet, but it is not so overwhelmingly powerful that you should spend a fortune to get it.

Re: Uber fun PVP combo's
Tried out Clockwork + Toenibbler combination, brought along a Blighthawk just in case I ran into any Anubs. Pets goes down insanely fast. Never even had to bring out the Blighthawk. Pretty fun full Nuke combination. Sadly didn't get to try Black Claw + Flank on any Undead this time. :) I'll have to...

Re: Uber fun PVP combo's
Yup, anything that can clear the field gives this team fits. Broom can usually be compensated, but Lil' Rags pretty much guarantees to beat this setup. Between the raptor being squishy, and the bonus against Gnome, he blisters me every time

Re: Your favourite PVP teams
My go-to team for ages was Valk, Clockwork Gnome, Zandalari toenibbler. Most people prefer the other raptors for Hunting Party, but I prefer Flank, since I'm not committing multiple rounds but still hit for 500-750 (1000-1500 vs undead) depending on RNG. Just gives me more leeway to alter my plan if...

Re: Uber fun PVP combo's
Nope. Especially not the way you just described it. Gnome drops turret and wipes out decoys. Switch to raptor (341 SPD) while you aoe. Tags black claw on spawn as you bring him in, or Pandaren if you leave him in for his bonus against my beast. Either way, you take 450ish damage from the turret whil...

50% abilities hitting way more than they should
I've been noticing that a lot of people are using Demolish and Belly Slide in PvP, and they seem to hit more than 50%. I decided to plug in the Idol and Penguin in my daily pet grind and kept track of hit percentage until I used each ability 20 times. With sandstorm up, Demolish should hit at 40%, b...

Re: Uber fun PVP combo's
This team could easily be countered with 2 very common pets. Clockwork Gnome and any one of the Zandalari raptors. Turrets handle the decoys. Throw in Black claw, hunting party, and an elemental attack, and you're toast. Probably wouldn't even need the third pet

Re: Help Me with the Celestial Tournament
Not to be rude, but the Tournament is supposed to be very difficult. It is designed that way. This is endgame content for pet battles up to this point. It is designed to get people to experiment, share strategies, and use forethought before walking in. There is a ton of information out here on how t...

Re: Pierre
As a general rule, people don't usually tell their battle strategies out here. Last thing people want is to come up with a great strategy that works, share it on the public forums, and then suddenly everyone is doing it. This goes double for the more rare pets. A better method is to do some testing ...

Actually, I prefer haunting AFTER they haunt. Sure, you get one round of haunt on my Valk, but I get to doom AND haunt your next pet, while your valk heads to back row. no harm no foul

very simple 2 pet combo for Tommy Newcomer
All I use is the Tranquil Mechanical yeti and Dark moon Tonk. Strat is simple. Yeti first, and use Call Lightning. he will force swap to your Tank who then uses Shock and Awe until the failsafe round, when you use Ion Cannon. Then you just bring the Yeti back in and hit him again with Ion Cannon. Wo...

Re: Your 3 Best PvP Pet line up?
I actually use an Unborn Val'kyr, Clockwork Gnome, Zandalari Toenibbler. Curse and then Haunt. Bring in the Gnome, and put up a turret. Switch to toenibbler who will usually burn down at least two pets and still be able to black claw the third before going down. Bring the gnome back for another turr...
