Re: Anybody monitor the BMAH?
Now that I'm down to 7, err sorry, 6 tradable pets to get I've taken to checking the BMAH every day. It and other realms are pretty much my only source of pets due to lack of viable trades. Already managed to score a rocket chicken... was not cheap, but only 1/6th of what it would have cost me to bu...

Re: Marked Flawless Battle-Stone
Unless I missed something major about archaeology there's just the pandaren crated to the old fragments trade. Not like they let you trade any other to any other, so no needing put in vendor to do dwarven to nelf, dwarven to tol'vir, dwarven to nerubian... and so on for every possible to/from combin...

Re: Marked Flawless Battle-Stone
It is interesting since it would make it a bit easier to implement a pet stone exchange system. Rather than having say trade in any species stone (maybe + some other resource) for any other species stones - that's a lot of different trades to put on a vendor to insure everything is covered. They wou...

Re: Tracking number of victories past 5000?
Tried them and the pve one doesn't work since it seems to just be tracking the wins towards that achievement and I already completed that. The pvp one works, but that's because I don't have that achievement completed yet. I was looking for a way (if one even exists) to find out my number of victorie...

Tracking number of victories past 5000?
Anyone know if there's some way, some macro or addon to track your wins after you hit 5000 wins and can no longer use the achievement to see? I know the losses aren't even tracked, but there seems to be some way to track the wins at least up to 5000, so I was hoping it could be tracked higher somewh...

Re: New Carps
Well, I figured out the trick to catching the carps... complain about it and they'll drop for you. Also, leveling alt's fishing. I caught the blue not long after the green. The white took a while but on the 13th alt it too got caught. Now I'm down to one more alt that isn't maxed on fishing, somehow...

Re: New Carps
Finally got a carp, the green one, after filling a guildbank tab with nothing but fish, getting an alt not only maxed in all cooking paths but also got him the cooking bell and another alt halfway to that point as well and oh yeah, made 3k from selling the more high value fish. I did give up on fish...

Re: Breaking news in patch 5.3!
In my case it's simply for speed, I camp alts I'm not actively working on at some of the tamers (especially old world and the other expansion ones) so I don't have to travel as much for those bags. I used to do all of them on my mage since he could port, but I get more and more lazy as I do the dail...

Re: Breaking news in patch 5.3!
Also, what do you mean "if" one is saving their unusable stones? What possible reason could you have to be getting rid of them? They only vendor for 1 copper. One could upgrade certain craft and vendor pets that can be caged and sell the rares on the AH. It helps a little bit for some of us, I keep...

Re: Pet Speed Leveling?
When I was starting out and didn't yet have the right pets for beating all the tamers with 2 pets I would pick just a couple of pets to focus my leveling on, priority to those who were useful for multiple trainers (like Chrominius, Darkmoon Tonk and Magic Crawdad for instance). First step was always...

Re: Tight-Fisted Stone Gods
I've actually started a journal on my status to avoid having selective memory and remind myself that stones do still drop! :D I started doing this 2 weeks ago. So far my average is 1.5 stones per day from trainer bags. I have had quite a few days with no stone, and then next day I get 3 stones. I'v...

Re: Patch 5.3: New Pets on the Way
If the heroic raid is accurate that's kind of awful. I don't mind mounts and titles being tied to heroic raiding, there's a long history of that... but pets have traditionally not required quite that hardcore a playstyle to get and have been more for fun than the bragging rights of 'yeah, I killed t...

Re: TBC Raid Pets (5.3)
I'd be OK with running opera every week to be honest, it's the thought of having to listen to Kael'thas' long boring speeches and then get disappointed once for a pet and once for the mount that makes me weep tears of violent rage. Can I second the My Little Midnight even more strongly? It's one of ...

Re: Just For Fun, Are There Any Pets You Hate To Level?
Same here, it's a psychological thing for me absolutely... "oh, another type of rabbit, how dull" vs "oooh, darkmoon rabbit, yeah that's getting leveled today for sure!!!". So not only do I favor things like dragons and humanoids over the gazillion generic sounding animals, but also within those mos...

Re: What do you folks do to keep pet battling fresh?
I like to try to get done as many things at once as I can. So right now I'm A. catching in the wild rare pets I previously had in other rarities while B. leveling up some of pets in their high teens low 20s and C. doing so on an alt so I can level him to 90. I do also like to watch tv or listen to m...

Re: NPC creatures killing wild pets!
My best guess would be that the battle pet flag for the creature isn't being registered or applied fast enough when it's respawned after you exit a fight. So the beast AI goes "critter! can kill? must say no if not", server isn't fast enough in going "no! player only kill!" and so the beast goes "YU...

Re: LF Guild with Thundering Serpent Hatchling (US) Redux
If the offer is still open I'd very much like to get that pet. I've made an alt named Ishildur. I have no problem with raunchy language, in fact I miss that my guild's raunchiest members no longer play.

Re: Thundertail Flapper info on spawns
If you go into the cave, it has exits into the locked out area where you can kill some mobs and check out a ton of Thundertail Flappers. Finally got my rare in there. Thanks! This worked out great and yes up in the north east part of the cave is an exit and beyond there is the land o' plentiful thu...

Re: 5.2: are we suckers?
I don't mind the carp, that seems reasonable to me. It's meant to be a long term goal obviously, something you don't just do in one day but over weeks or months of casual fishing. It's like the turtle grind, I didn't start on the turtle fishing thinking "oh god, I'm going to be fishing for hours try...
