Re: Time to increase collection limit?
I wouldn't mind seeing the limit raised to around 1200, but I have not heard wind of it anywhere. While I am not near the limit (I only have around 81 duplicates), I do have multiples of several pets that only come in 1 breed (lets me have multiple teams for testing with less healing involved betwee...

Re: Killing battle pets
My normal mode when collecting pets has been to engage, check for blues, escape out of the battle and then kill the pet with blizzard or some other spell. Today that's not working in Shadowmoon. Has something changed and I missed it? This is a foolish thing to do in any case. Stones are easy to fin...

Re: Question: How Important is Breeding?
There are definitely times in PvE where breed can be extremely important, but in most places you can just get by with almost anything. One thing you can do is take a look at the pet's moves to give you an idea of what it will benefit the most from (if you HAVE to make a decision on breed, so you don...

Re: Garrison dailies that don't use the undead valk?
<snip>Val'kyr <snip> as it is a valuable pet both for collection and battle purposes Am I the only one who thinks if my Argent squire can get a mount, why can't my Valk ride an Clefthoof Runt? Yup *hands over phone number to the men with the nice white coat for you with arms that tie in the back* :D

Re: Grubbles, Scrags, Stings - Carry Strategy
Thanks for that, I am so used to thinking of the flayer as a kick-machine that I forgot this fight doesn't need it (or want it, since you're using rampage). Definitely makes that strat just as good (and maybe even easier for some people who have bad RNG luck with RWL pets).

Re: Grubbles, Scrags, Stings - Carry Strategy
Absolutely, the more viable strats that are out there, the better the chance is for someone who has a limited stable to find one that works for them.

Re: Elfuego Scrappin Daily Grubbles Scrags Stings 2 Pet Stra
I totally understand where you are coming from, especially as you make video guides to go along with it - you don't want to be making videos using the same "normal" pets as every other strategy out there every day. All in all it is better for everyone to have all these options talked about and avail...

Re: Elfuego Scrappin Daily Grubbles Scrags Stings 2 Pet Stra
The strat I copied and altered (which is from Wowhead) using the Lil' Bad Wolf (all but P/P) and Iron Starlette (any, though H/H not recommended) does the same thing, is consistent, wins in 10 or 11 rounds, and doesn't require the carry pet to take any damage at all (just soak the stun). Lots of opt...

Re: Elfuego Scrappin Daily Grubbles Scrags Stings 2 Pet Stra
Only the S/S Bonkers is faster than Scrags (which is essential for your strategy). All other breeds are below the 316 speed you need to have.

Re: Menagerie daily rewards nerfed
OK, so on January 6th I started 2 characters on their Menagerie dailies at the same time. I also continued to do the dailies on the mage who hadn't received a pet since before Xmas. As of today, January 25th, the mage still has not received another pet in her bag - so I must have been mistaken that ...

Re: Grubbles, Scrags, Stings - Carry Strategy
Check the bottom of the other thread. Flayer Youngling + Iron Starlette is an easier, faster fight with no risk and no decisions. You need a very specific breed of Flayer Youngling (which is hard to come by), whereas the Lil' Bad Wolf you can use all but one breed, and in the Anub strat there is on...

Re: Garrison dailies that don't use the undead valk?
Doom + Unholy Ascension are the core of that fight (Gromli & Kromli), so I am not sure you can make due with the go-to alternative, which is the [pet]Ghostly Skull[/pet] (which you can buy in Dalaran). You would open with Ghostly Bite (which would stun you), then maybe get 1 or 2 shadow shocks off b...

Re: Grubbles, Scrags, Stings – Leveler Strategy
All credit for this strat to Giove over at Wowhead: Grubbles, Scrags & Stings: Lil' Bad Wolf (must have 264+ spd, so all but the P/P will be fine here) Iron Starlette (technically any Breed - I tested P/P, H/H, and P/S - but avoid H/H if you can) Carry pet (will not take damage) vs Grubbles Dodge > ...

Re: Unborn Val'kyr trouble
In my opinion the best success chance comes from creating a new toon on a low pop server, ideally in a different time zone/ continent, so that your play times overlap with low activity times in the native zone. Many consider this a cheap way out, but a caught pet is a caught pet in my opinion. I'll...

Re: Unborn Val'kyr trouble
Also, if she does kill herself at any point in the battle, you cannot restart. She is gone. More importantly, if you have done ANY actions at all (I've never tried a dodge, so maybe it's only damage move) then you cannot restart - the wild pet will despawn. So only do as Kel suggests - look at her ...

Re: Awq's Pet Battle Tournament ~ 1 Feb 15:00 EU
I understand your line of thinking, and can see what you mean. I've done competitive CCG tournaments (even ran them) and rounds always had a fixed end time (not games, rounds) because the tourney has to move on. And some CCG's don't have a fixed end possible (like # of turns) due to the mechanics of...

Re: Awq's Pet Battle Tournament ~ 1 Feb 15:00 EU
You may also wish do a fixed number of minutes per round at maximum, because 100 turns to a forced loss for both can take a long time if one person chooses to stall just by waiting to the last second to choose their move, 100 times. Unfortunately I'm not on EU so cannot participate - but I have to a...

Re: PTR menagerie experience nerfed
It's all about priorities (plus my guild hasn't raided since SoO came out), but after burning 2 hours doing 10 garrisons (7 for lvl 100's, including 6 doing the Menagerie daily), it's hard to have much energy for everything else so I often end up only doing 1 thing or another on any given day on my ...

Re: Top 10 Wild Pets you'd recommend to new collectors
Hmmm, I think part of it has to be the question of ease to get vs usefulness. The only reason I say that is the Unborn Val'kyr is not a pet I would ever recommend a new player seek - purely because it will tie them up for hours (days?) trying to get one. If you expand the list to inexpensive, store ...
