Re: Valks have been nerfed into obscurity
I disagree. I think Haunt becomes a viable ability now that it has a 4 round CD. Especially since the CD doesn't even start until it pops up in the back row, effectively making it a 5 round CD. 4 rounds of haunt, combined with 5 rounds to cool off, means that it can only be used once every 9 rounds....

Valks have been nerfed into obscurity
After a few days of battling after the patch, and mainly running Valk teams "just to see", its my opinion that the Valk is fairly useless now. I agree that it was broken before, but I thought a four round CD was plenty to fix it. The biggest problem was the spammability of haunt. Unfortunately, sinc...

Re: Barrage teams - Front pressure
Tried this team out for the first time. Ran Lil Bling, Macabre Marionette, and a frog. Not gonna lie this team rocks! It's also a pretty good answer to the Murkalot issue due to undead and Mech racials. Unfortunately, one Anubis can almost solo the whole team though. I queued 30 times. Got 14 forfei...

Re: Flawless Battle Stones
Back when I was still doing the Full Bag runs, I averaged about 1 or 2 of the class specific stones per day. As far as the regular Flawless stones, I've gotten most of mine from PVP. I don't know the exact number, but I'd estimate that I get one for every 70-80 PvP fights I've won. IMHO PvP is the b...

I use the traditional Howl/Bomb
Pandaren water spirit drops whirlpool and gyser. Swap out for Chrominius. Howl, bite, cannon. You MUST use bite before cannon, or he'll survive it

Re: Good team for leveling other pets in the wild?
Whwn i was leveling, I used a Feline Familiar and Darkmoon Cub in the Halfhill area. The cats destroy the critters and using Devour, they rarely needed healing. On those rare occasions when one does wear down, I'd just swap to the second cat until the cooldown on pet heal had expired

Re: Fun Murkalot teams
Further drawback for Ion Cannon or Surge of Power: they can be avoided with liftoff, dodge, burrow, fade, etc... While an Inspired Falling Murloc can ONLY be avoided with one if the "always goes first" abilities

Re: Fun Murkalot teams
You're mistaken. Here's a list of pets with Surge of Power or Ion Cannon, followed by actual damage: Darkmoon Tonk - 732 Menagerie Custodian - 700 Mechanical Yeta - 732 Azure Whelpling - 822 Chrominius - 740 Coilfang Stalker - 760 Legs - 740 Lil Tarecgosa - 732 Falling Murloc does 684 damage. You do...

Correction: I was actually referring to Surge of Power from Chrominius, but the principle is the same. Just a magic version of Ion Cannon and still has two round stun

Re: Fun Murkalot teams
Righteous inspiration is nearly indefensible when used against back line pets, AND it goes first. RI does go first but A) you can attack the pet that is coming after RI is finished and B) the pet, while it does have higher speed, can be blocked by any of the 'this always goes first' type spells and...

Re: Fun Murkalot teams
You know, we hear all the time about the Valks being broken, but this pet is certainly just as broken. Righteous inspiration is nearly indefensible when used against back line pets, AND it goes first. Falling murloc is very comparable to Ion Cannon, except that the stun only last one round instead o...

curious about something
As a pretty hardcore pet collector, I usually browse the AH a few times per week to see if there are any hard-to-get or underpriced pets out there. During my many months of doing it, I've noticed that there is one guy that ALWAYS has tons of the very rare pets for sale. Multiple Soul Traders, multip...

Yup. Seen it too. Food Coma also works on critters, which are supposed to be immune to sleep/stun/etc

Re: yay! Thundering spirit finally down
Actually, this fight can be done with a carry-pet for bonus XPs. All you need is the Darkmoon Zeppelin and a fast rabbit. Rabbit takes out the elemental and puts a hurting on the ooze. Zeppelin uses rockets until the ooze dies. When his last pet comes in you use rocket, followed by decoy. Continue t...

Re: What now?
It should also be mentioned that even though you can't heal within the Celestial Tournament, you CAN heal inside the fights. Both Yula and Xao open with a first round buff. You can use the round to cast a backline heal, quit the fight, and then repeat. I personally use a Brew Pup, due to his hefty h...

Re: What now?
The celestials are actually the easy part. Two of them go down easily to the traditional Howl/Bomb stray. For Xu-Fu, you can usually solo him with Lil Bling. Just have another mechanical with a nuke on standby, just in case RNG is tough on you. Yula can usually be solo'd by Clock'em, and I carry a G...

Re: Help me PvP
Hey, AWQ, I think you might have been fighting me with the rabbit/Valk team. I usually run that team for my ten weekly wins, just so I can stand at the quest giver and get them out of the way quickly. Was running It Tuesday and kept running into the exact composition you were using, with each fight ...
