Re: Pets worth leveling?

Awq I use the Vengeful Porcupette against pretty much any pet, even against some mechanicals to a lesser degree when Spirit Spikes is available. The absolutely worst match-up I can think of is against a pet with Shell Shield and Surge, just no use unless you manage to get a wild magic debuff on them...

Re: Pets worth leveling?

Thanks for your kind words Skavenged, inspires me to keep it up. :) I have for sure won lots of games just because my opponent was not all that familiar with the pet/pets I was using. Sometimes you can almost feel them(mostly by the suddenly longer wait time) thinking "what just happened?" or "this ...

Re: Pets worth leveling?

Here are a couple of pets per family that I find very useful in PvP at the moment. Aquatic: Toothy/Snarly, Swamp Croaker Beast: Vengeful Porcupette(my absolute favourite right now), H/H Elder Python, P/P Baby Ape, Kovok Critter: S/S Praire Mouse, Mr. Wiggles Dragonkin: Death Talon Whelpguard Element...

Re: Thoughts on the Christoph Von Feasel fight?

Of these 13 near identical multiple hit abilities http://www.warcraftpets.com/abilities/filter/?filter=multiple_hit_effects Only Flurry works differently and will continue to hit decoy/bubble. Then of course you have stampede-type moves and barrage-type moves. And the two not explained by...

Re: Beating strong triple-comps

Triple Fossilized hatchling. This team can be annoying, especially if you run any humanoid. I often run into similar teams that are either comprised of one kind of pet or a mix with Creepy Crate and/or Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. My go to choice against MPD, the Prairie Mouse with poison(strong ...

Re: Beating strong triple-comps

Just ran into the triple DAH guy. Was trying out a new team since being inspired to try the Magic Lamp from a thread over at Blizz US forums. I ran Magic Lamp, Qiraji Guardling and Vengeful Porcupette. I could definitely have played much better, just getting a feel for this team with only a couple o...

Some things that worked for me to complement Genomes post. vs. Valk, Stitched Pup, Blighthawk. One thing I like to use is any Stun or Food Coma. This will make force them to heal early or be stunned and the Valk will ress and they are our of one corpse and can't heal. Use this with critter attacks a...

Re: Beating strong triple-comps

I have a triple DAH guy on my meta. Whenever I run into him/her I bring out triple Vengeful Porcupettes or three Crocolisks. I also like to use a Rascal Bot against triple DAH. Plot Twist will hit 2 out of 3 times through blind and then finish off with Armageddon when not blinded for 500 damage per ...

PvP Pet Challenge: Grassland Cottontail

Since the "Battle with that Pet" thread dried up I have still been busy trying out "new" pets and strategies. Though PvP did seem a bit stale just before summer now during summer months I have experienced a much more varied meta. Anyway I am trying out different pets or different breeds and hope som...

King Floret/Queen Floret : I'm going to assume these come as a pair. If this fight is scripted, it will be easy. If not scripted, then RI+Fist of the Forest will be 1512 damage that is only reliably avoidable by...

Re: A o E oh My

The Good Stuff is 24 to each backrow pet, so 48 total under ideal conditions. Avoiding the front pet seems like an important part of the design (like Pheromones), so I think there's no danger that they'd change it to be Avalanche-like. A silly me. Don't have the pet, must have been fooled by the an...

Poofah wrote: Bleat is already 45 base (15 each pet), it's one of the highest heal-per-turn abilities in the game (behind Wish(50), Consume Corpse(50), Healing Stream(48)
Then I don't want to know how good The Good Stuff is, that ability is insane.
I thought Bleat was lower than that.

Re: A o E oh My

Possible. But how much would it have to heal in order to be a proper counter to Thunderbolt/Avalanche? Those do base 40 dmg, so it would have to heal base 45+. That's essentially the magnitude of Wish. So now we have a Wish-sized smart heal. But then what happens when you play SmartWish against a '...

Re: Good setup for a returning player?

Those 10 that Tekulve mentioned are also some of the most popular pets on my meta. Though, not sure if it is because of summer vacations, last two weeks people have been running a lot of fun and different teams. I'm seeing a lot less Unborn Val'kyrs and Death Adders lately, which I gladly take since...

Re: A o E oh My

Thus far, there is nothing in the WoD changes to suggest that anything will change for the better. Haunt and Blinding Poison are untouched -- in fact, there is a new pet with Haunt ( http://wod.wowhead.com/npc=83817 ). AoEs are proliferating and getting stronger, and there's new and better pets wit...

Re: A o E oh My

Thunderbolt is changed on the latest beta build: it's a clone of Avalanche/Carpnado now. It seems like they are moving toward the same general design for AoE abilities, ie they do X amount of damage split among living opponents, instead of X/3 damage to each opponent. Arcane Storm got the same trea...

Re: A o E oh My

by critter, it most likely means the pets in your party.... not actual critter type pets. Highly unlikely. Then it should say 'pet' instead of critter. Check Shield Storm or The Good Stuff. The attack description is listed as strong vs Dragons and weak vs Beasts. Why would they even bother listing ...

Re: A o E oh My

I never understood why people got so upset about Shieldstorm to begin with. Sure, it's a powerful AoE defensive, but it also has a very long cooldown to compensate. It's not like people are going to be spamming Shieldstorm until the end of time. Plus, one small AoE is all it takes to dispel the shi...

Re: Want some opinions on which critters to go for/level up.

Genome, I do feel though that there is more room for critters right now. In 5.3 with direhorns in every match, critters were totally useless. As you said now they work well against Valkyr and to a lesser degree Fossilized Hatchling(and other undead ofc). Almost any critter will do well against Lil R...

Re: Want some opinions on which critters to go for/level up.

The two Lambs(critters) and the Ram and Summit Kid(beasts) also have chew + stampede, but their third attack would be between soothe(!) or Comeback(wich is quite crappy)
