Re: Pet leveling strategies for Legin WQ (incomplete)

For Sir Galveston I found a P/S Flayer Youngling to be pretty consistent in taking out both Murkeston and Greatest Foe. This is from memory so it may be a bit off... Start with Kick> Deflect> Blitz till you can Kick. Blitz till the dragon comes in then Deflect. Kick when the dragon racial procs. Def...

For Alliance trying to get there quickly, the teleporter to Ratchet at the Shrine is still available for 10g. See the gnome just outside.

Re: Family Familiar All-Stars

I've made use of a [pet]Ghostshell Crab[/pet] at least a couple of times against flyers. Bubble to avoid Lift-Offs and Spirits Spikes to punish them for multiple attacks. Was notably useful against Bredda.

Re: Family familiar notes

Merayl with all Flyers was a fun one, but it gave me the chance to use something I don't get to very often. [ability]Nevermore[/ability] from a [pet]Gilnean Raven[/pet]. I did make note of what I used for this one, here was my strat: Blazing Firehawk - 2,2,2 Gilnean Raven - 2,2,2 Sentinel's Companio...

Re: Bredda with aquatics

It's been a while since I did this, but from what I remember I used an S/S Elver to down the first pet, died right after. Then 2 penguins; one with Slippery Ice+Ice Lance vs. the porcupine, and the other with Belly Slide vs. the bird. Not ideal but I haven't gotten around to leveling my Tiny Blue Ca...

Re: Mechanics & Formulas

I think my favorite contradiction is [ability]Feign Death[/ability] and [ability]Sticky Grenade[/ability](and the like), which specifically state it can't be avoided.

Not very common to run into, but I did recently when trying the pet family achievements.

Re: WQ pet battles with only one type of pets

Warning for anyone doing Master Tamer Flummox, it appears bugged. I'm not getting credit for Roboteer (all mechs).
Not sure if its all types, or just a one time fluke.

Re: Sir Galveston - all Elementals

If anyone is having trouble with Coach, I found a [pet]Jademist Dancer[/pet] pretty effective (I used a P/S, not sure on other breeds). Geyser on Lift-Off-> Rain Dance -> Jade Claw till dead. I also found a [pet]Living Sandling[/pet] worked well vs the dragon, lots of HP to outlast it. My third pet ...

Just one, the [pet]Felbat Pup[/pet]. They were easy to get so there should be tons available on the AH for pretty cheap right now.

Re: Objectively best pets for MoP/WoD Tamers

Sorry it took me so long to get in on this, holidays been keeping me busy but I finally got some time this afternoon to really go over things again. I'll keep on the other battles to see if there's anything of worth. I'm gonna start off with Aki since I found all my friends have been using the same ...

Re: Objectively best pets for MoP/WoD Tamers

It's been months since I've done the MoP trainers, but I did update a bunch of my teams when I did. A reason to dive back into pet battles before Legion would be great if someone would like to keep a thread going.

Re: 15th (US) /16th (EU) November -- An Ultimate Pets' Day

Oh man I almost forgot about this, glad I checked these forums today. Time to grind some long neglected pet levels.
Maybe I'll even make a dent in that crazy Draenor Pet Brawler achievement.

Re: Chrominius - Ancient Blessing bugged?

I find a (B/B) Lost of Lordaeron works much better than Chrominius if you want to stick with a AE strat, it's faster and has some crit protection being undead. It's posted in Donna's "no-bs" thread if you want to try it.

The Hatespark team is faster though, with a great success rate.

I was wondering about this, I did the fight a dozen times at least and never had this happen. I was starting to think they changed things. I'll give it another look when it comes around again.

Am I missing something with [ability]Batter[/ability]? I noticed everyone changes it.
It's been a while but I remember the Broom being faster than everything else.

Re: Is it good to have 2 or 3 of any pet?

Outside of the Celestial Tournament I don't think there is much need for most people unless you really like to min/max in PvE like myself. I keep a stable of multiple pets of different breeds for many current and possible future battles. The Flayer Youngling has been a favorite of mine in addition t...

Re: Menagerie Speed Kills

For Manos, Hanos and Fatos I couldn't improve on my old team, though I didn't try too hard being pretty content with its 9-10 rounds. Should be crit-proof too. Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling 1/2/1 Nexus Whelping (P/P) 2/2/2 1) Thunderbolt 2-5) Breath 6) Explode vs Hanos 7) Frost Breath 8) Arcane Sto...
