This is one really good battle pet. I use it whenever I boost my low level ones, as well as during PvP pet battles.
Absorb - Corrosion - Arctic Goo
Those are the abilities I use - usually Arctic Goo first, then Corrosion and Absorb a couple of times to heal myself. That setup is more survivability, so things take longer to kill, but worth it if you're leveling your small pets by defeating battle trainers.
This for sure is my favorite battle pet at the moment.
