120 attempts and never did get this pet. So frustrating to have a rare pet drop on a limited time boss.
Pets look cool but I hate that change to the bonus event!
It's baby Cringer! <3
As of 25/12/20, there appears to be two models of Jingles, one with holiday garb and one without. There seems to be no control over which you get and you can't release/cage in order to pick up another on an alt.
Excited to have some pets to collect again!
@Radriegal as someone fairly near the top of the leaderboards, it takes me barely no time at all to quickly log on once a month and update and I don't mind doing it in the slightest. It's not difficult or time consuming.
I quite like this. It will mean only the most active pet collectors are show in the rankings, which is nice.
Wow, this is going to keep us busy for a while!
It's been a while since we had new Children's Week quests and pets so I think I'm looking forward to those the most. :)
New drop system for IE sounds MUCH better. Will get out there and try it this weekend.
Just bought him. He will land and sit on the ground if you're in one spot for a while. He's very cute!
I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that it's the Deadmines format, with a currency!
I also submitted a bug report for the pvp pets. When I logged in yesterday, my alliance char had the Dutiful Squire in her bags but when I logged my horde char, she didn't and she couldn't buy it either. Hopefully the fix will be soon. :)
OMG those new models are awesome!
Ok, collecting Francois sounds hilarious! Looking forward to that, and all the others of course.
I saw a very good blue post recently that explained that they like to change abilities/sets on various pets because it gives variety to players (instead of using the same pets every single expac) and because it means they can "rotate" the pets with particularly good movesets. Makes perfect sense to me. :)
@Gaijin You're right in that Wowprogress is technically more accurate because it shows ALL the pet collectors on a realm but they do actually include connected realms as well and have done for ages.
I hope everyone had fun at the meetup! I'd love to get to Blizzcon one day but being in the UK makes it a little bit trickier.
You all do know that seeing just the collectors on one realm in your group isn't an accurate representation right? Blizzard considers connected realms to be one large realm in all ways but name. I may have been kicked out of top spot in my group too but at least I know that the list is now ACCURATE and I see it as motivation to keep collecting and get back to the top on my whole connected realm list . . . an achievement that will be MUCH more satisfying than just top on one realm.
Fantastic change! This was definitely needed as connected realm groups function as a single realm in every way. I have guildies on all realms in our group and it was frustrating to have to check different realms and then figure out who ranks where. At the end of the day websites like Wowprogress treat connected realms as one so it was definitely time for WCP to do the same!
After a few months break, I'm back playing. My brain is melting slightly at how behind I am with the pets but I've made a spreadsheet and I'm ready to go lol.
